Could be insect poop for sure. Aphids leave a honey dew like that. However it looks a lot like the picture I posted. Have seen it before.

Tar spot, Phyllachora cannabis is a plant pathogen infecting hemp.

But that looks nothing like the picture posted in this thread.
We grow indoor with the air more polluted then outdoor.
Many people grow down stairs, just walking over your grow , can cause dust particles and who knows what else to fall onto your reflector.
i have seen my bulb have what looks like black residue similar to what the op posted.
And was a hard to get off .

I believe it was just that some fluke possible plastic contacted the heat source and melted

This was a isolated incident i mean on one leaf out of how many
when a grower sees mite damage its usually not one leaf but many.
this is why i ruled out mold , or really insects .

But again were not there so were just guessing
Even insect poop i think is unlikely one would have to have a microscope in order to see it .
The ops picture seems to the visual eye

So my best guess would be something came in contact with the heat source which was hot enough to reach its melting point , and dripped onto the leaf

Sneeze shit..boogers...nose-nuggets...prolly came from your flared out nose holes. Or like he said..it's poo-shitz from you wet farting through your thong. That ain't mold dood. No effing way.

did we every find out? im still saying ratchet strap end. i can tell from watching too much CSI that drip was a direct drip from above the shape of the drop would be different if it was caused during motion it would have a tail. Let us know what happened.
