Ok so basically from the greens i buy if there is a seed in it which was seven from the pound i bought. i started of with the germinating process only one fully made it to the next stage, the others floated on top with the water method or just never sprouted. Can you elaborate on the part how only one survived?

Not trynna sound slo but is there a way I can save my seeds and continue through with the process? Only asking because sometimes we think plants are done for then boom you have a dysfunctional plant growing on the side of the house healthy asf.

I pulled them before they sprout then transfer into the paper towel method I've learned soaking my seeds before doing the paper towel method works but only one made it. well in reality two made it but only one sproutedWhen you say floating, the ones that floated did they grow a tail yet? Or you pull them before they sprout a tail?

This is my first time actually trying with the bag seeds planting. Only 1 out of 7 made it. I leave it in the light/sun for 16hrs if I can but if the sun decides to go down too early then I transfer it to a room temperature designated area I check on my plant every 30 mins -hour time lapse my plant from sprouting stageyou can grow a seed from an hermie, chance of getting an hermie won't be especially higher than the previous generation, so if you had a very few seeds in some buds that mean the parents had very low hermie trait else you would have had more seeds inside the buds, so the next generation may show a some females, some similar low hermie, and a very few pheno with higher hermie chance than the previous generation
so it's perfectly fine to grow bag seeds, just keep an eyes for potentials balls first few week of flowering stretch or banana near the end flower
And yeah give more infos about your germination method, what are you doing exactly, and for how long ?
your germination rate is low, and i doubt seeds inside some buds would be that old that so much won't germinate, i also doubt storage conditon of said weed would have that much out of range so that much seeds won't germinate.
Ok that's sound so much easier because all of them are failing me I got three more and there not Nudging. Did you put anything in your growing water ?My suggestion is to do what I started doing (again, something I picked up off a guy on youtube). Strictly germinate them by floating method and wait until they grow a tail and then directly put them into soil. I get 100% germination with this since I started. Only problem is that they germinate TOO QUICKLY with this method, so if you are going to work then don't do it. You'll come home and within that 9 hour period the tail has grown so long that the entire thing sank with the tail or the tail broke off.
Again, then put it directly in soil. I did exactly what you did for like a year or two (like 95% of growers apprently) until I tried this. Never going back. I went through the hassle of using a reptile mat, two plates, papers, re-spraying with lights low for that entire time.
This crap makes life much easier. That's my advice.
Nope, just a regular small coffee cup. Plain tap water, put it in a drawer and check it after like a day, then you'll want to check it frequently and I mean frequently. Every hour or two because before you know it it will pop and quickly.Ok that's sound so much easier because all of them are failing me I got three more and there not Nudging. Sounds good. I have one that's been soaking since yesterday, I'll see what happens hopefully it started doing it's Thang.Nope, just a regular small coffee cup. I'm trynna try the first one the others I've tried but the dirt like you said I can't see what's going on so it's frustrating. I might chance it though when I get more seeds and just go straight to dirt or soak until they poke lol. The papertowel method don't work at all for me only one survived. There’s a couple different ways to germinate. First is the soak method, which has already been touched on. I left mine on the counter in a jar for a day. In the dark is probably a good idea, roots don’t like sun.
You can do paper towel, you fold your seeds up in a paper towel, give it a little water, and leave it in a warm spot and they should shoot some tails out.
Or just throw them in dirt. I just did that with my autos. Don’t like it. Can’t tell what’s going on. They did sprout after a few days.
You have to keep the towel moist. It’s a fine line between too much water and enough. The ones that didn’t sprout when I floated them all sprouted in the paper towel. Downside is I went out of town and everything in the paper towel diedI'm trynna try the first one the others I've tried but the dirt like you said I can't see what's going on so it's frustrating. Smh that might be the problem the towel to wet but what's the difference from putting a seed in water and wrapping it with water only difference to me one with a towel and one not. I mean fair point. Any seed needs moisture and warmth to sprout right. I’ve read that the soaking method works better with older seeds, but beyond that I’m not sure. I like the jar cuz then the towel doesn’t dry out. But then how is floating them not doing totally drown them out?Smh that might be the problem the towel to wet but what's the difference from putting a seed in water and wrapping it with water only difference to me one with a towel and one not. Lol not you questioning everything too, its very confusing how to go about it but fun and educational in a way. Will se how this goes.I mean fair point. When you find something that works, stick with it lol there’s a lot of options

If they don't automatically sink on there own then leave them to float? If so then maybe that's why they didn't sprout because I would tap on it just so it can sink I watched a YouTube video of someone saying if they float there no good but if they sink there good all of mine that I've done the water method with floated but one and that's the one that's doing good even though the bottom leaves are yellow. Before I moved to the floating method, I had heard stories about (if they sink don't sink). But the thing is I haven't seen may at all sink since I started that method, but I don't think people were lying about them sinking. I just think it comes from another problem totally apart from the method. I'm going to assume those seeds were already dead or something happened to them that made them not viable to begin with, but you wouldn't know until you tried to germinate them somehow.
With the quality ones that you get from the popular seed banks, that seems to be a non-issue from what I can tell where if you grabbed them from random place you wouldn't know what they went through.
