Autos usually go quite abit longer than the stated times, theres guys here do just autos, and they take them at least 11 weeks, the plAnt will ripen wen ready, they are only half done, they need a feed to then ush wen their ripe enuff,a few jays or a few grams?no wot id prefer, good luck,76

Hah, no way this plant'll survive another 3 weeks. Something to keep in mind for next time, though, thanks!

My autos do this too. Tends to be the older fan leaves. I just pull them or let them die. I think its from nitrogen deficiency. Theres a fine line with autos between to much and not enough. I woulsnt worry about it. They start to do this when they go into flower usaully at one month. So do it some don't.

Ah, I see. Is that just regarding the chlorosis or is the dark edges caused by that, too?

You can get ph up and down for aquariums if theres no hydro store near you

Harvest day!
The plant was pretty root-bound, which probably had something to do with the discoloration and the stunted growth. Might go 12L next time to mitigate the effects a little.
Low yield, but I'm still excited as to how it'll be after cure. Right now, the buds have a very pleasurable semi-sour fruity smell to them, I can only imagine how it'll smell after a good cure.

Ya the most ive gotten from am auto was 45g dry if i get an ounce off one I'm happy.

And I'm dry already. Fuck. On to the next grow, an autoflowering Bubblelicious.

As for the speed weed itself, I'd rate it between 4-6 outta 10 depending on your experience or needs.
If you're a ( very ) light smoker or a beginning grower, 6/10 for ease of growing and speed.
If not, 4/10. Very light effect, tolerance builds quickly and just not very potent.

yah in the pics they did not seem to have much tri on them to early maybe bc of root bound

Might be root rot or fungus gnats did you have any little Flies?

Yeah, I actually did. I was pretty worried they were gnats, too. There were about 3-4 buzzing around every day when I went to check on it just before lights went out. They were there for about 3-4 weeks before finally leaving me alone. You think they fucked the roots or something like that?

they sure did. u know i read this whole thread. because we r both first time growers and i was like oh damn..sounds just like what I was just battling...you have it friend..and you better take it very seriously if on your next run you do actually decide to make a real go at growing. cuz we both know this was just your test to yourself to see if you could do it for cheap as hell.

its root aphids. and you better save this link. bookmark it. because you will need to clean entire area and follow these similar steps in your next grow. https://www.thcfarmer.com/community/threads/root-aphid.69812/page-2

i just posted about how i just got over the Root aphid problem. Same symptoms as you.

damn yellowed leaves for no damn reason.
had good ph had good level nutes had good temp good rh good light good everything...
nope it was fucking bugs. little tiny ones that eat your roots called root aphids. and the little mofos have been on the rise in the last 10 years so there is very little info for them and not well known for cannabis treatments...but the link above will let u know what these "fungus gnats" actually are..and what is happening to your infested plant.

good luck in your next REAL grow. u can do it. dont be scurred. step it up.

I've got a bit of a problem. My fan leaves have been turning yellow over the past 5 days, with one of them having some heavy curling today. The tips also looks slightly "burnt" on some leaves..
Bud growth has also seemed to slow down to a near halt, if not completely, although it is still forming trichomes from what I can see.
I'm wondering if it's a nitrogen deficiency, a root problem ( i had what i assume to be gnats for a couple days ) or if it's just because I'm in late flower. Harvest day is an estimated 8 days from now.
The strain is an Auto Speed Bud on day 45.

It's worth noting that, going through my picture log, I can see these problems started immediately the day after I watered on top of diatomaceous earth. My diatomaceous earth has a mildly deodorized smell to it, so I'm a bit worried it's contained something that's harmful to my plant. Package only lists "90% pure diatomaceous earth, 40-50% silica". It is sold as a nutritional supplement from a local health store.
Could it be that the diatomaceous earth has blocked out nutrients for my plant?

Also worth noting, this is a bit of an experiment in that I haven't used commercial fertilizers. I've used diluted urine and boiled crushed sunflower seeds exclusively, which hasn't resulted in any sort of deficiency, 500ml per feeding. I've also always adjusted the pH to be around the 6.6~6.8 range. I watered with this solution again yesterday for the 3rd time. The other times it has had a noticeable increase in growth, but this time it didn't seem to do much.
I water every 3-5 days, after the top inch of soil is dry, with pH regulated tap water, leaving it out a day or two to let anything nasty disperse first.
There is also a layer of perlite on top of the soil which has turned faintly green/blue after being watered a couple of times.

I've attached a picture showing the plant as it was as of today. You can see the curled leaf in the lower left.
The thermometer is off by 2-3 celsius, and the light has been off for about an hour at this point.
Light is a 300W advertised wattage LED, 100W actual wattage.
9L pot using standard potting soil. Plant has also been lightly trained.

Hope you can ease my mind a bit. Thanks.
Could just be missing a trace mineral.
