I got a 10 pack of seeds from a friend...
Yeti OG x Tropicana Cookies.

Gonna roll the dice with two of them in hydro.
Hopefully they’ll both be female

Today is day -5

Right on schedule, today is day zero.

Since I don’t want to set up buckets to veg these, I need to switch my flower and veg area.

Unfortunately, that means my flowering plants will be in the blurple for a few weeks.

Then I’ll move the flowering plants back and flower the Yeti’s while the others finish up.

In the mean time, I’m gonna employ the Kratky method till I get around to moving everything around.

My neck and shoulder have been screwing with me more than usual lately so I’m “trying” to pace myself.

I haven’t actually tried it before. I figured it’d be a good stop gap so I could start the seeds and give me time to get things squared away.

Then I can transfer them to the 5 gallon hydro buckets.

So far I’m having mixed results.

They popped a root out the bottom, but dried out before getting to the liquid.

Moistened /revived them. The one gots its toes wet. The other is drooping again

I might end up pulling a GDP seeding out of the soil and running just the one Yeti

I’ll hopefully have them in the 5’s by Sunday as I’m heading out for about a week. I doubt they’ll last that long in the 1/2 gallon kratky’s.

So only one Yeti made it to the buckets. Replaced it with a GDP.

And now the agonizing wait from seedling to plant.

So I can finally update this thread

Had some issues which are mostly cleared up. Caused stunted growth which has been reversed

Didn’t get a pic of the GDP this time.

Judging by the leaves and that beefy stalk, your plant appears to lean pretty heavy to the Yeti OG side of things, in regards to structure. What smells are you getting from it?

Different angle than before, but crazy growth
Gonna have to bump the lights up tomorrow before I head to the cabana.

GDP’s in 5x5’s in the foreground. Tossed 2 males. Not bad for the numbers

Tossed 8 more GDP males, so it was about a 50/50 ratio.

So it appears that the GDP’s lightly pollinated the cookies

Either that or she’s hermed. I can’t tell, in the one bud shot, if that’s a seed forming or a nut sack

The lower branches definitely got hosed by one of the GDP. A few of the little GDP’s have pods on them too.

Good thing some of the GDP’s got pollinated, I’m down to about 500, give or take 1-200

Recalibrated the pH pen, I can’t believe they’re doing as well as they are. After calibration the pH was 4.2

It’s still mixing/circulating, but I’ve got 5.5 atm
