Yield: screens vs coffee filters any difference?

I've been using a stainless turkey baster (bed bath and beyond) with 2 ply worth of coffee filters. Using about an ounce of trim and buds usually a high quality sugar coated og strain and about 2 1/2 cans of vector and I almost always end up with only a gram or even less of oil. Its always comes out really nice but my yield sucks!! I always see a bunch of oil that I cant get off left on the filters.

About to go with the pyrex and 50 micron screen, any reviews out there? pros and cons ??

50 micron is not fine enough for bell clarity. I use a stainless French Chinoise strainer to rapidly separate alcohol from plant material, before refiltering using either a coffee filter or vacuum filtering with a #1 Wattman lab filter.

We save our filters and wash them all out at once in hot ethanol, to salvage the lost oil.
