A 15-year-old boy told police he was a victim of an armed robbery at a York County park Wednesday night where he had gone to purchase drugs.

Shortly after the 7:40 p.m. report from Sweeny Park in Shrewsbury, a Southern Regional police officer stopped a vehicle and took the three men inside into custody in connection with the crime, according to a news release from Southern Regional police.

The teenager told police he had gone to the park to purchase marijuana, but he said he was ordered to hand over his belongings as a handgun was pushed against his abdomen by a person who exited a vehicle wearing a black beanie with holes cut for the eyes and mouth.

The teen, police said, recognized the person robbing him as Marco Mason, 18, because of the robber's voice and short stature.

Police have charged Mason, of Glen Rock, and two others — John Colton Jasinksi, 20, of New Freedom and Landen Bosely, 21, of Dallastown — in their attempted robbery of the teenager. Mason stole cash and a cell phone from the teenager, and the three drove from the scene before police arrived, according to the release.

Mason has been charged with robbery, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, terroristic threats, simple assault, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Jasinski and Bosely have each been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, conspiracy to commit possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, conspiracy to commit terroristic threats, conspiracy to commit simple assault, conspiracy to commit theft by unlawful taking and conspiracy to commit receiving stolen property.

Police took the three men into custody without incident, and officers retrieved the weapon and found it to be a pellet pistol, according to the release.

Jasinski and Bosley have been released from York County Prison after each posting $25,000 bail. Mason is being held in York County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail, according to police.
