I noticed that the proposed ordinance was quickly retracted 'for further review' the moment word about its extremism got out. If I recall correctly, isn't this how a democracy is supposed to work? The whiners had their day and their say, and were roundly told that what they wanted was a violation of other people's rights. Democracy worked- no wonder some people got confused!

Its not about being seen or being cool for smoking. Its about not having to hide or go out of my way to medicate. If people can drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes, and display offensive tattoos, I see no reason why I shouldn't be able to smoke walking down the street, in my car, on my porch, on national forest, or anywhere else I feel like it, as long as Im not blowing shotguns into children's lungs. If people are worried about their kids so much, maybe the shouldn't take them into public. The sooner children are exposed to real life, the better they will be able to handle it.
