Your preferred medium for clones, veg and mums

What is every one using and find most effective?

1. What type of medium are you using for seedling/clones?
2. What type of medium are you using for veg?
3. What type of medium for the mother plants?


1. For clones, i have used RW and an home built aero-cloner.
2. For veg i used RW, but its hard to keep it at its optimal not too wet, not to dry phase. Need to keep messing with it or better yet use something else.
3. Still deciding what is best for my mothers

promix for the cycle with perlite added or some happy frog or oceans forest cut in half with promix

i use jiffy peats for propagation
once i see a tap root pushed out i then fill a mesh pot 1/4 way with perlite pop the jiffy in then over fill
into my NFT system she goes till it looks llike this

clones = grodan 2 x 2
veg = 6 x 6 grodan rockwool
mothers = none ( no mothers here , i clone off of my veg before they go into flower )

if i was you i would use a 10 x 10 rockwool for your mother but keep the rockwool blocked from light and it will not build up algae as quick:lock: IMO

Rockwool is the best that I have used. The bigger cubes I start with the fatter root systems I get. I've been wondering if anyone has done a 300 gallon grow in rock wool outdoors.? I'm thinking 15 elbow trees 20 feet tall, I bet someone has done it.

1) pasteurized coco for seeds; rockwool for cuts
2) whatever they flower in
3) coco all day
