Hello everyone!

I’d really appreciate some advice, knowledge, and input, as this is my first grow!

The plants are around 70 days old, although one of the Zombie Kush plants is a little younger.

Setup:

  • Strains: 3x Zombie Kush and 1x Brain Damage
  • Grow tent: 70 × 70 × 160 cm
  • Lighting: Spider Farmer SF G1500 + 2 deep-red LED bars
  • Light schedule: 20/4
  • Pots: 11L fabric pots (not filled completely)
  • Medium: CANNA Bio Terra Plus, with CANNA Seedmix in the middle of each pot
I haven’t adjusted the pH at all so far. I’ve been watering straight from the tap, with a pH of around 7.2–8.0.

Nutrients and additives:

CANNA Bio:

  • Vega
  • Rhizotonic
  • Flores
  • Boost
Advanced Nutrients:

Since this is my first grow, I’d love to hear your thoughts on my setup and anything I could improve or should pay attention to.

Please feel free to ask any questions if you need more information!

Thanks in advance

AI answer From Grow Assistant, reviewed by THCFarmer staff. Always double-check before acting.
Your tap water pH is the biggest problem. At 7.2 to 8.0 in soil, iron, manganese, magnesium and phosphorus get hard for the roots to take up, and the yellowing fan leaves with rusty tips and spots in your photos fit that. Late in an auto some fade is normal, but this looks like more than fade. The purple in pic 2 is just genetics, nothing to fix.

Start pHing every watering. Aim for 6.3 to 6.5 after the nutes are mixed in, since the Canna Bio line can shift it. Don't flush hard and don't add more cal-mag to chase the yellowing. Hard water usually carries plenty of calcium already, so extra Sensi Cal-Mag may just be piling on salts.

That additive list is also a lot for one grow. Rhino Skin, Sensizym, Hammerhead, Bud Candy and Tasty Terpenes on top of the Canna Bio line won't fix a pH lockout. I'd drop most of them and keep it simple: Flores, Boost and the Cal-Mag only if the leaves still show a deficiency once the pH is right. Plants this far along will get most of the way back with the new growth, and the buds look like they're stacking up well.

What's the runoff pH coming out of the pots?

I haven’t grown in soil so take anything I say with a grain a salt (literally) this is a lot of “salt” I’m still in my first year and I was obsessing over everything from run off ph and ecs and the best advice I was given was it’s always better to put less then more then add later as you can’t take away, and soil holds nutrition pretty well so not sure how often your adding. You should also find out what your hard water is starting at ph and ppm wise then go off that as far as calmag and stay in the recommended ph zones for your feed. Hope all goes well happy farming!

Thank you. I know measuring the pH is the right move, however i wanted to try without and see what it ended up like. I don't know the Ph on the runoff water. How far do you think they are from harvest?

That’s an AI response but you should always measure the ph feeding into your plants. As far as harvest you should be sticking to the breeders recommendations, yours look pretty far along might wanna get a jeweler loud and check out the tricombs most people will tell you harvest at 30 percent amber while the rest are “milky” but there’s a lot of bro science behind it so you’ll have to research and see what works for you really
