    Ho T5 lights

I'm thinking about starting up a new grow and I would like to use T5 lights for both veg and flower. I had an old post concerning these lights but it is gone. So I'm starting a new thread. Any info you can supply will be appreciated. Respect bass

    Vaporteck vs. charcoal filter

I have been talking to a grower who swears by vaportecks, he says he uses them rather than charcoal filters and never has odor problems. I haven't heard that from many people and would just like to get some opinions from others who have experience here. Possibly they work for small grows but not...

    co2 and scrubber

You will be fine, your scrubber will not extract the CO2 from the air as long as you are not exhausting out of the room. Respect bass

    Last few things..

Using the formula, watts divided by volts =amps, add up the amperage of everything you intend to put on the circuit. For safety's sake try not to load a circuit over 80% of the breakers capacity. For a 15amp breaker that would be 12amp's. Use 16 gauge wire for a 15 amp circuit and 12 gauge wire...

    Troph Blumat Thread

How do you guys handle res changes? If air enters the feed line while you are cleaning your res wouldn't you have to reset each Blumat? I am thinking of using them but have to plan a way to clean my 55gal res once a week without letting air into the line. Possibly could add a "T" and a shutoff...

Turkey roasting bags to control odor?

Those are the "ironsacks" I spoke of in my original post. Anybody have any experience with them? Respect bass

Turkey roasting bags to control odor?

Thanks all for the replies. My main concern is for transportation not storage. several options have been suggested guess as my dad used to say "there's more than one way to skin a cat." No offense to pet owners. Respect bass

Turkey roasting bags to control odor?

I have heard that those plastic bags that people use for roasting turkeys control odor. Supposedly the chemicals within the plastic which prevent the bag from melting in the oven have the ability to absorb the odor of cannabis Has anyone else heard this? Is this true? It seems that hydro...

Cool Flame Co2 Generator from AN?

noone88,Thanks for all the info. I will look into both the sentinel and the cap units. I have often wondered about just picking up a tankless water heater from Menards or Home Depot and working with that. I believe the HydroGen is nothing more than a reworked Marley tankless unit anyway. I'll...

Cool Flame Co2 Generator from AN?

That Sentinel unit seems interesting, and it comes with a recommendation from someone from here who is using it. I wonder if it can be outside the grow room and have the CO2 ducted into the grow room, thus keeping the heat it generates out of the grow room. Respect bass

Cool Flame Co2 Generator from AN?

I will be following this thread as I am in need of a unit like this also. It is a tankless water heater and can be found at most big box hardware stores. Interested to find out how much engineering has been put into this unit that would make it different than the units available elsewhere...

Is this a recipe for disaster?

Many thanks to all. It seems my fears have been unfounded, that's good because I really wanted to try these pots since I have heard so much about them. Again I thank you all. Respect bass

Is this a recipe for disaster?

I probably picked up some bad information somewhere and have been told that CO2 is not healthy for roots when they are exposed to it. Thinking that to be true I was concerned about using these "pots" since they would allow the CO2 into the root zone. Just to make sure, I am going to supplement...

Is this a recipe for disaster?

I would like to start up my next grow within a sealed room using coco in Smart Pots and supplement CO2. What I am concerned about is the porous nature of Smart Pots. As I have been told these pots "breathe". As I have also been told CO2 is not good for the roots. If both of these statements...

    mini-split and A/C in a sealed room

girlwondergrows, thanks for the input. I could probably duct the CO2 close to the mini-split. Everything is still in the planning stage at the moment. Also thinking of running the water that runs through the heater through a heat exchanger connected to the ducting and then into the heater thereby...

    mini-split and A/C in a sealed room

Jalisco Kid,I will have one heater supplement two separate rooms. I will use an inline duct fan and two baffles to direct the flow into whatever room is calling for CO2. Still concerned about odor leaking out of the rooms. Any thoughts about condensation from the mini-split? Right now I'm...

    mini-split and A/C in a sealed room

darookie2000,[B]yes in a mini-split system the compressor is generally located outside the building,as it is in a central A/C unit for your home. The freon lines are then routed to a evaporator in the areas to be cooled. [B]ugmjfarmer, you are probably right about negligible back pressure,it...
