Moisten with a drop, let it soak in, then engage from below with a cue tip and gently twist rolling up and away. Cotton fibers will grab and remove shell.
The day after sprout I like to TRANSFER my jiffy into a pre-moistened 5gal airpot that contains equal parts of a light, fluffy, well draining FFOF-FFHF-Perlite mix. I use a little Mycorrhiza to help the radicle get established.
I put the pantyhose on to deter unwanted pest entrance and to maintain a cleaner grow area. The pots still "breathe" with no problem.
