I don't like what's being sold locally. I want true heritage breeds, and plan on getting a game hen or two for their broodiness.
Yeah, That's why you gotta do the mail order...I think its a safe way to go.

What else am i into?? shit besides work, garden work, and being dad... my life doesnt permit me to have hobbies! Actually me and my woman are animal loverZ! So we do dog rescues on the side (1 pup at a time) and find them GOOD homes. also big into hiking and about to get into downhill/cross country mountain biking. hereZ some pics

Our latest rescue - We called her Luna cuz we picked her up on a full moon! She was living in horrible conditions. Some girl and her boyfriend seemed more into their drug habit rather than take care of this little girl. shes 4 months, under fed, and was confined to a small dog crate most of her life. She doesnt even understand that she is supposed to go pee outside, they just kept her in the crate. sleeping in her own feces and what not. it was bad, i almost ripped the previous owners heads off. Shes the biggest sweet heart in the world, got her back to proper weight and full health (had sores from her living conditions) and found her a great home with a big yard and another dog to play with! good timeZ!

View from a killer hike in So Cal!

Cool thread! ThankZ for asking QQ

Wow, it's not often you get a view like that in SoCal anymore. Quite spectacular! What's the range I see on the right, the San Berdoo's, San Gabriels, or what?
(I lived over 30yrs in SoCal, know the area far better than I do my current location.)

Good job. What will you be milking?
We got a machine, milks two goats at once.
1948 vintage Surge bucket milker upgraded for goats.
Lots of these still around, they made them for many years and are built to last.
If your doing more than a few in the long run a machine is the way to go.
Keep eyes open, can be found Total cost around five hundred...

Im gonna be milking the Goats! (not the one in the pic he is the male..lol)
(1st he has to get them preggers)
I know nothing about this..so its gonna be a learning thing

My wife said I have to milk them twice a day..(is that true?) o_O

A machine sounds good to me!!..;)

Best to separate does from kids at nite. Milk does in the morning then let kids suck all day then separate again. Once kids are gone can milk twice daily but I prefere once daily.....
Maybe to late to breed this time of year, best to breed oct, nov

Thanks for the info C man (do I need to milk while she has kids?)
He was with them in oct and nov. I dont know if he did the deed with any of em..(he is young)
I better make my wife do so Reading...These are her goats...I am just the Farm hand

Should be some new kids on the block soon, send pics....off to milk. Got a doe the kids suck only one side of bag, still get allmost a gallon.

One time we had some kids In there20s visiting farm They never been on a farm. We had a buckling who never bred a doe. He seemed interested in Tia a doe on other side of fence. I said let's see what happens when we put them together. I opened gate and he ran over and the doe squatted and pissed and that buck drank it directly from her, loving it, mounted and pumped away. They were blown away, way funny to see the reaction of utter amazement, they will never forget that action. X rated goat sex live.....
