3k flip flop, chiller cooled

So I'm guessing the water cooling is working out well enough that you haven't commented on it? Just curious about any issues or insights you might have had.

So I'm guessing the water cooling is working out well enough that you haven't commented on it? Just curious about any issues or insights you might have had.

it's working well but I am still getting it down. with four lights running on a flip flop the temps are a hundred percent under 80 degrees at all times. right now I'm tackling humidity issues the chiller isn't strong enough to hold the temp down for the ice boxes to do the dehumidifier work. One side where everything is further along has a dehumidifier the other doesn't. the compromise is working, hi humidity at the beginning of flower lower at the end. now the pants are a little further along in flour humidity is over 80 percent most the time, and I have water dripping from the icebox when the fan blows. But I do have them hooked up to pull water and its working. there is no way I could do this with a split unit or a portable. I'm using about the ssame amount of power as I did when I used the portable while setting up. It kicks on and off the portable use to stay on the whole time.

There's no way I'm going to make it through the summer I have to get a bigger chiller like I said in the beginning. I have to insulate, nothing too extreme just going to do plywood all the way around the shell. there's two layers of plastic on the outside and that's all but it should help with the plywood. I also thought it would help keep the co2 and I just have one of those natural bags in there. I still have a couple harvest before that will be a issue though so no worries

All that water dropping from your Icebox IS the dehumidification function working for you. Catch that water and either drain it away- or out it right back into your RDWC like I do.

I haven't set up but its doesn't drain well I think I need to angle it. I'll post some pictures later on when I get back around there. Maybe you can help me brainstorm a better way to set this up..

I've simply made a vertical tower and placed a bucket underneath to catch the water. If the bucket is higher than your RDWC water, a small hose drains the water back.

I am growing in soil so nothing to fill, I use ro water also. My problem with dehumidifying is keeping the chiller temp any lower than 60. It runs the entire cycle and still the temps rise with the use of the iceboxes till there is no longer a dehuey effect and then humidity spikes up. So I am thinking my only option is to buy a dehuey for the other side since it is cheaper than a new chiller. I like the idea of a back up plan too while trying to configure my new chiller setup..

The water distilled from your dehuey it's just as pure as RO, may as well use it somewhere.

I understand about the chiller getting heat soaked and being unable to keep up. Backup plan would be a bigger chiller and keep the one you have as the backup, lol- I'm really good at spending other people's money, too! Seriously, getting a dehuey and then an AC for the other room is more running in the squirrel cage. The bigger chiller is the solution, anything less will just be brain damage.

And don't think I haven't tried it! I've actually passed the exhaust from a dehuey directly through an Icebox- it works, but so does the chiller... overtime, in fact! That's why I know that dehueys and portable AC are a rat race that a bigger chiller totally sidesteps.

Of course time to spend it eh LOL! I guess i know its the solution just trying to make the most of my time and money, I feel you about the hamster in the cage chasing away lol my homie just told me today quit cutting corners totally called me out hahaha... chillking order coming soon I have plants coming up to fill this thing time to get cracking!

I know i said seeds only but I found some realpy nice cuts! planting some candyland, gsc, phantom cookies, and alien og (28%) . ftw. going in to promix with nute and root pack. Also been mixing in fish meal and high n bat guano, solo cup style. Can't fucking wait. got my abusive cut about to root too yee! back to work

been making aerated tea for the garden, looks to be my missing link nutrient wise. They look better than ever, I'm feeding more than ever, and I'm getting some signs of low n. time to start feeding more going up to twice a week on my grow and bloom... all the leaves re praying as before they were just flat. Lots of good things happening

my abusive og looking good from b&r... first clone rooted off her already too so excited to run this. Since I like picking up new flavors all the time I decided I'm cutting every thing as soon as possible and flowering the originals with my regular rounds which are all a mix really anyways

@tyystikk here's my day time light setup. today im going to change the angle so its not wetting down my plants. hopefully the blades won't get so full of water and will drain better.

My fan is above my Icebox, blowing straight down through it. Water then drips out the bottom, where I catch it and return it to the RDWC. You risk lots of problems by letting water get on your plants and in your fan.
