House & Garden how I saved money!

I run Cal/Mag up to the last week. I have some 7 week finishers and some 10 week finishers.

I never liked air pots. Mixing perlite with coco adds plenty of oxygen for me. You get fast growth getting more oxygen to your roots, I just hate having to water more often so I use pure coco.
Some buddys get on me for not amending pro mix with perlite ( only use rainbow mix) but they would just dry out too fast. In heavy flower 75% of the time i wind up having to feed/water daily anyway

My buddy was saying the coco might dry out too quick or flow out the sides when i water them. I have a brick of coco, i can see if it actually happens first hand
yea they do dry out fast in airpots, i have to water every day but then again coco works best when its watered most. I would feed multiple times per day if i wasn't hand feeding lol
rinse that brick shit good man, I've had many healthy plants stall out because coco was salty, and like nightmare said recharging is a must. If u follow the steep on how to pot in airpots i mentioned above u won't have then pissing out the sides.

confu

man, i used to do this but broke my back and waisted a lot of water and time doing so, nowadays i jus pay a few bucks extra and buy canna in the bag. thats shit is clean as fuck and needs no rincing at all.

how often do u have to snake ur tub drain ?? lol jk hope u don't have shitty pipes like my house.

I have 2 bags of the Canna Coir and a brig of the reg stuff. I can Run both in separate pots with Canna Coco nutes. bricks were for mushrooms have some extras

Halo rings top feed? My back is jacked y I am looking into auto watering nowadays. Plus my garbage man probably gets pissed once a month when i'm chucking out bales of promix. only so many raised flower beds you can build in your yard.

ill try to take some pixs of what I'm talking about. I feed about 1gal per 30 seconds without any leaking except out the bottom. and some of the plants look bone dry at the top when i start, still no leaking

Luckily never from coco. The brick coco does have a crap load of sand in it. I found a full fruit bat in my coco brick

I grew mushrooms for 10 years. I wanted to go legal so I got into pot. I clogged up a shit load of drains because I use to grow on pure horse manure. Tons of sand.

I've found plenty of garbage wrappers all sorts of stuff in the bricks but never an animal

Be careful with powdered nutes. It does not say what's in it. The Only Cal/Mag to use for growing plants is made of Calcium Nitrate and Magnesium Nitrate. The wrong shit is Calcium Nitrate and Magnesium Sulfate, which Greenleaf makes. The latter is cheaper than dirt and not a compatible mix.
Wait a minute...Magnesium Sulfate is not for growing plants? epsom salts? In my salts regimes I use Calcium nitrate and Magnesium sulfate (espom), my plants love it.

Funny you just posted that cuz I walked over to my CalMag+ to read the ingredients
The Sweet Raw has MG sulfate in it

I was also going to add. I did a ton of research on Cal/Mag. I looked at the video and they are just calling it calcium and magnesium. I specifically recall a commercial fertilizer company saying that Calcium Nitrate and Magnesium sulfates are incompatible. Greenleaf is trying to sell garbage with sulfates. People are reporting problems from using it. It precipitates and is not water soluble. The form makes all the difference.

Also almost every nute company makes a part A and part B. They are not doing that to make more money, it's because they can't be mixed together without causing precipitation. That's why you mix A and wait, then mix B.

I am wary of any company that sells you a bag of salts and tells you to mix them all together.

Bad stuff! Not only does it kill your bennies but they don't mix. It will break down over time but it's not the right stuff. Sulfates in macro amounts are ok but in the portions your adding, it's a Bennie killer. 2% is the max.
