Just thought I'd see what you guys thought. It is the only leaf to do it yet but it made me do a double take. So confused. Ideas? Name? Its the lizard tongue looking leaf. Split right down the middle the 5th blade.

That is one badass looking mutant. Hopefully he has useful progeny that will inherit this unique leaf blade mutation. Is there only one leaf exhibiting the double blade or are there multiple leaves with the trait?

Just the one so far. Very curious as to see if it ever pops up again. The next set of leaves are still small but appear totally normal.

Me too, its a strange one for sure. Figured I'd come ask the man himself or anyone who grew out the first generation of yeti if they've seen this or if I am running into a first. Couldn't find anything like it anywhere. @loompa this pop up anywhere for you?

Ive had the same leaf mutation recently. It was on a rebel og male. At first i thought the leaf was torn but then i noticed serations on both sides. Ive seen a few mutations growing from seed so i didn't think much of it.

Wow, that is definately very rare. I can honestly say of the thousands upon thousands of seeds we have gone through, I have never seen that mutation. That is definately a plant to be looked at closely, because that is Very rare! I'm stoked for you man, and a little jealous..lol, You might have found something special and it's worth seeing what that mutation is all about.

Well I really appreciate the man himself stopping in, that helps out a lot. The pollen flew and he is being preserved with Sweet Tangerine. I will try and reveg him and if he comes back I will see what we can do about letting you see what he was/is about. I'd be glad to open up the genetic potential of your line if it proves to be worthwhile. Check out my Sweet Tangerine thread and you can see his dancing partner :)

whatcha think about that!?!

this is from my Cherry Pie ive been running

im thinking this type of deformity was caused by stress when the leaf was in early development. not sure if this type of deformity is strain dependant or not, i recently had a root aphid problem cuz i got lazy on teas... this is what i believe to be stress caused by them. it also happend to one other plant as wello_O

Thank you kindly for the input! Did it just do it on that one leaf on each plant?

no just to one other plant. but i did have another leaf not grow properly during this time. it was the main point of the leaf. it stayed small, but the rest of the points grew to full size... never seen that before either.
