Greengenes Garden: Apache Tech AT600 LED and Blackberry Kush

The at600 is a direct 1 for 1 replacement for a 1000w. Pricey yes...but it's the only one that I feel will truly compete with a 1K hps. My last run was good and close enough to call comparable...I have done worse with 1K's and better. So I am now doing a...

My last run was good and close enough to call comparable...I have done worse with 1K's and better. So I am now doing a side by side with the at600 and a 1K hortilux/solis tek/raptor combo...they have a light divider to really see once and for all.
I don't really hang out here...but I document all my grows on youtube. Here is the most current update, and you can follow the link in there to my normal hang out where I am super active with info.

$2,400 buck's looks good. REALLY GOOD. How long the light's last though? Lifetime ? Super cool grow bro!
Respect

Thanks. Simply beautiful.

Can I ask what the real watt draw is on this light? Man it has me salivating.

What size area is this that you are growing in?

Do you feel is best with this light to grow in an area like this? I easily have 8' x 12'. The problem is it's 8 feet wall-to-wall. It's close to 17 feet going the other direction - but 12 feet is probably big enough. It wouldn't really be big enough to have two scrogs that are each 4' x 4' going width wise or I don't think I could reach the back to water (even 4 feet would be a challenge – how do you do it).

Any thoughts on how to use this space most effectively with lights like this?

There is a code to get it for 1999.19...stilll a pretty penny, but 400 off is nice.

actual draw at the plug is 685w on 240V. A true 600w unit.

What ever you would do with a 1000hps this will do coverage, intensity, all of it. I use both 1K and this at600 in 4x4's. This is probably the only run with the hps...I just wanted to do the side by side to settle some things.

Depends on what you are tring to do with that room. Yield goal???Wattage limit??? Depends on where the door to the room is also.

Thinking of running 4-apache at600 in a 10x10 room what are your thoughts? Also trying to decide on whether to get the at600 or the at600L?

Also wanted to know what the temperature output would be currently running a 3 ton split with heat pump, 4 adjust a wings, 4 Solis tek matrix 1000w switchable, and hortilux hps 1000w would the apache be able to match the output??

Great job on the blackberry, I have the same cut.

'round here it is known as the clone only blackberry. The blackberry kush around here is different than the clone only. And yeah, she is done in 50 or so days easy, I had many units harvested outdoors last year before Sept 20. She is amazing....likes to flower shock super easy, even in clone trays with 20 hours of light she will start to flower sometimes...great strain for such a finicky bitch!

That would be a bad ass setup. I have seen a 8x8, with 4 of them...the coverage is 4x4 for flower. The normal at600 for that setup. I run mine the exat same way I run my 1K...height, coverage, intensity.
But the heat load is way way less. I only ran my exhaust for 15min an hour when pure led...now I have to have it going the whole lights on to keep the 1K cool. I don't have to run AC...just a 6 inch will keep my 2K cool(when I ran hps). I have been running apache's for a few years now. This new generation is a whole new world for led's...a true contender.

Watch the video I posted last. I am starting(about day 9 as of now) a side by side between the AT600 vs 1K hps(hortilux, solis tek, raptor)

There were two cuts in that grow...14 of one and 2 of the other. The one I only had 2 of was the finicky/wanting to pre flower ones. The others were stable, and by the taste, I think it's GDP, not bbk. But the 2 that were finicky were what I know as bbk.

gdp def is different than the blackberry. I will have to look at the pic again. GDP takes longer to finish than the blackberry so you can tell them apart that way too.

It's a super grapey(identical to GDP) taste...nothing like any BBK I have ever had or seen. But the ones I only have 2 of are no doubt BBK. I didn't really take pics of them while, but I will take some pics of both finished flowers when I get back. Definitely a clear difference. And I have had many GDP done at 56...so 51 wasn't out of the question. Plus they were amber so it was time.

nice, I tend to cut most things a little early, and I did have a cut of gdp that was done outside on sept 30 before.

And until I smoked it...I was under the impression it was bbk a 49-56 dayer. But either way they were amber...actually more amber than the true bbk.

Interesting, you think you may have kens cut of gdp then?

Here is what I have been up to for the last little bit...head to head with a light divider... at600 vs 1000hps
I'll try to update over here more or get a new thread going. Here is where I am now, and as always if your feeling it, the veg till now is on my youtube....
