So the first time I add Kool bloom I drop to 3/6. I do that like twice then I'll up to regular 6/9 with Kool bloom. So that's three consecutive waters. This is week two. I don't do it again till week 5 and that's that.Nice, Tnetz! She looks like a beast!
What queues do you use to cut micro, or to jolt the feed with the liquid KB during flower?
i told you my brothers are there coco! im on hr dirty in soil and loving it. thankyou TMB's for checking in.

I would always side with safety. Lol. You probably won't c much of a difference changing to the Epsom but ya give her a week or so. You can also just add 2.5 MLS kb on top of the 6/9. I've done it both ways. If u do it that way just really pay attention. Actually pay close attention either way. Lol. Thanks for the compliment brother but head did all the work. Lol. I'm actually a major tinkerer (is that a word). That northern is a clone off a clone off a clone. She drove me nuts until I went heads. I'm a total believer now. Lol. Good luck bro. You will be fine though I'm sure. And I'm here anytime. Here is some inner shots of the same plant. So fuckin frosty. I'm amazed. First one is upside down. Thanks, Tnelz. I'm on week three and just started aligning my feed with the addition of epsom rather than calmag. Looks good so far, but I probably better steer clear of the KB until I have them dialed in properly with the change-up from cal-mag to epsom? By the way, I went back to H3ad's thread after you shared your thoughts, and sure enough, he mentioned potential hazards with calmag that prompted him to use epsom instead. The calmag drives Ca to a higher ppm than K. You nailed it.
I like your minimalist approach. And the pic of that NL speaks for your results. Much obliged for your insights!
She is a frosty girl. Yours was a little better though. It's all good though u gave me something to shoot for bro. Lol.Tnelz she look so frosty, going to be some a++ smoke.
She's in the freezer. Lol. Little better than a qp. Fire bro.shit i think you rocked the shit out her, considering she was stubborn. lol cssh how she looking TMB?
Lol. U know it. Got that fuego!Hell yea i see TMB keep our jars full and freezer method grindin!
I think u r doing a fine job brother. I admire ur persistence. I tend to over analyze on occasion. To me ur plants are doing fine. Better than fine bro. CA move through slowly bro so I wouldn't expect to c results very quickly. Patience in a CA issue is a virtue. Lol. Keep it up and u will be just fine.Day 22 of flower, and one week out from adding the Epsom to the 6/9 and dropping the CaMg+. The addition of the Epsom ( Tnelz advice ) stopped the salt buildup in the Indica pheno of the AK48s, so evidently without it something was getting locked out. But even with the ratios back in line, the pale green growth in new leaves persists on both plants, and I noted distortion of the new leaves on the tops this week with margins failing to fill in. More possible evidence of Ca being too low. This got me to thinking again about my well water, which is at 25ppm @ .5 I also wanted to involve KB, but wanted to be very careful with it.
So, I noticed late into H3ad’s thread ( 2010) that he stated he was shooting for 100-75-150-60 for N-P-K-mg, with Ca falling between K and Mg. This was a few years after he published his thread for a modified Lucas formula for coco: 6/9 (2007). When I enter the liquid KB into the cannastats calculator he used, I noticed that adding KB at 1.5ml/gal, and with the Epsom already in the mix, I get a close approximation of the new ratio with 97-77-140-63 for N-P-K-mg. I’ve been adding the KB for the past four days and flower production definitely picked up.
I also noted that with the new formula, Ca is still at 97, and now well below K. So to address the pale new growth and distortion, which is evidently due to a minor Ca def, ( the well water having such a low EC?) I decided this morning to add 1ml/gal of CaMg+ to the mix. That puts Ca at 110 and Mg at 63, with K at 140, well within the new ratios for coco that H3ad mentioned in 2010. This way, if the Ca is not the issue, at least it won’t hurt anything.
Watching them closely to see what’s what. Here is a not–so-great pic of the skinny sativa looking Pheno. Sorry for the pic quality. Using an Ipod for a camera.

Not a problem bro. Glad I could help. I think ur thoughts are perfect. Keep doing what u think u need to within heads parameters and u will be fine. 1ml isn't gonna hurt and I can certainly see a valid reason for adding it. U obviously know what to look for. As for super coco I like it more everyday bro. It's not over yet. We have a few weeks left to judge overall yield but I think I'm past an acceptable level already. But we also still have potency to judge but to be honest I'm not very concerned there either. I just grabbed some more so there will be more to come with that thread. So stay tuned. Lol. Good luck bro and again it's a pleasure to help. Feel free to pm me anytime u need a hand. Thanks, Tnelz. You definitely got me on track with the advice to go with the Epsom. I figured I could get by without it since I was not using RO. The rapid salt buildup was the main concern, and falling back to the base 6/9 and adding the Epsom put everything into balance. I’d still be chasing my tail otherwise.
Understood about patience with Ca. It’s more of a nuisance than anything at this point. I added that 1ml/gal of CaMg+ and set PH to 5.9 to help replenish the CEC for Ca in the coco after all that flushing. I’m just going to add in that 1ml/gal for a few days and see if it helps things along.
Saw your thread on Super Coco. That was a crazy ride….
They are looking good and it's my pleasure to help bro. Nothing wrong with a little fine tuning with the floralicious. And I would agree week 5 is a perfect time for the kb to be ramped up a bit. As always pay close attention and u will be fine. Keep it up bro!Day 29 with H3ad 6/9 plus Epsom, and 1.5ml of liquid Koolbloom. I cut the 1ml of camg+ to .5ml. and will do away with it completely soon. Stretch has ended at about 26” for both plants, well within the 2 to 2 ½ foot height I was shooting for.
Been adding 1ml of Floralicious Plus every other day. ( Can’t seem to stop tinkering.) The foliage still looks good, if a bit beat up from crowding in the tent, but very green. No signs of deficiencies, burn, or buildup right now. Feeding at 1.5 EC / 750ppm @ .5… full strength in the morning, ½ strength about an hour before lights out. I slowly increased concentration to this level. Runoff EC has been around 1.1 consistently since topping out at 1.5 EC for the feed. I’m thinking about bumping up the KB just a tad for Week 5, then cut Micro starting in Week 6, and go 0/9 through week 7, then flush for the duration as prescribed by H3ad. I’m guessing the AK48s will go nine weeks or so if I don’t screw up.
Thoughts and suggestions are always appreciated, and many thanks to Tnelz , Gamrstwin36, and Power OG for the help and encouragement. This has gone much more smoothly than my first grow. So far….
One of the tops on the Sativa Pheno. Looks like the buds are starting to take off. An Ipod makes a poor camera, but they are starting to frost up just a little bit.
