Your plants are not starving during a regular flush. They have nutes stored they are consuming. JK
I dump once a week. When I ran coco I’d flush once a week for a couple of hours during their night cycle. I advocate for this because you get nutrient imbalances that a cf meter can’t read. But this is different to flushing for a week at the end of harvest.
do you think flushing 1 x every week with coco is a bit ocd?
anyone one tried recirculating system with half/half perlite coco?

Why does this not stack up in your books?JKThe premise of flushing during the last week is that it’s supposed to get the plant to use up its own internal supply of nutrients as it doesn’t need any more for the final week of bud maturation. But this doesn’t stack up in my books.
How so the air isnt pumping around 1200 ppm of co2 all day?

,Interesting thread...
I agree with others that the cure plays a huge role in flavor and smoothness.
I run DWC and used to flushed years ago, but I gave up on flushing when I personally could tell the difference.

If you have a high ratio of perlite in your coco you can increase run off and not worry about water logging and then not have to worry about flushing too often.
Well it is called Drain To Waste,......but i use it to feed in my garden and my sunflowers go to 15 feet baby!Yeah but then do you recollect the runoff and reuse it? Otherwise that an awful waste of nutrients?
