For starters I have tested it. I work for Monster Gardens a leader in the industry because we TEST everything with a spectrometer, par meter and staff that is few and far between and only stand behind reliability and efficiency. I didn't say you were trolling, don't get emotional on me. And in MY experience over the several hundred customers I deal with one a daily bases, the AC/DE is killing it but not like the original Gavita and I will give you a hint as to why. It's not about the footprint, glass, air-cooling (which, if you're not going to air cool the AC/DE why waste the money???? Buy the DE Boss) or reflective capability, it's about the micromol's ie the reflector is insignificant. And to be frank my company consults the 'consultant's' so that word is also insignificant. I know all the specs on all the equipment that matters, and so do all my co-workers, this is why they come to us.

Solistek's MH is a coal miner bulb that has been around for a LONG time and you know the reason no one wanted to put it on the market? It's crap. All that product is, is hype. It's blown up because "They were the first to do it"... wrong..simple marketing. We almost did it too but didn't want to offer an inferior product. Trust me, don't waste your money.

I simply had to address the 'supposedly' and 'speculation' because not allot of people are getting the FACTS about these products. So, don't take this personal.
Hey, thanks for the detailed explanation. I posted what I believe(d) to be true. I'd love to see your numbers. I am not emotional, lol. Just thought a smartass comment deserved a rebuttal.
This discussion is exactly why I am on these forums; to get to the real truth in a sea of bs. Salesmen will always be salesmen, and sometimes this forum sheds light on what's really what.
I accept your answer, no matter how it was delivered.
Thanks again.if you have any links to your research that would be awesome, as I am frequently commissioned to spend loads of other people's money, and I want to get them set up in the best possible way.

Looking at the pics of the nanolux fixture, it looks like they made some tweaks to the narrow side of the reflector.it appears to have slightly more angle to the short side, which would make a more square footprint I think.wonder how secure the app and system is for running these over wifi?
I would love to get realtime info from my lights and room through my phone.

With the price point of the nanolux for me it's a no brainier if they work well...
Very low profile...

Here are some pictures, firing it up today....

It does say designed in California and assembled in China on some of the paperwork...

So in your testing, is there really a big difference between the Gavita and Nanolux or something like the Agrolux fixtures that all appear virtually identical as far as design goes? Is the Philips bulb better than the one in the Nanalux fixture? Will the Genesis bulb compete with the Philips bulb? Have you seen these? http://www.agrolux.com/index.php/en/home/16.html
We do have a commercial rep researching this fixture, I haven't yet looked into it myself but I will. Thanks for the heads up!

In all honesty, I can't release much of this information online it will just deter people from out YouTube channel. We are testing, constantly shooting footage and editing videos so stay tuned!

I appreciate your open mind on this topic, all our company strives to do is build trust between us and the customer. We do the research for you.

After seeing those pics the relfector looks identical to gavitas.thanks for posting billyboat :)

To Clear things up the current Nano DE only runs from 200-250v...So 208 will work @Herb Forester

110v-120v will be available soon!

The only wild card I always see in these DE fixture test is the show a 24" canopy clearance for the maximum output reading, but if you put a Gavita or similar DE at 24" above your canopy you flat out cook you plants..Im getting bleaching at 48" the first week or so and them move them down to a minimum of 36" above the canopy and even then they seem to work better at 38"-42" above the canopy

I want 277v specific setups for all my new buildouts..thats the sweet spot for warehouse grows

I got 3 more nanolux's on the way and their controller to try out. Going to try 4 of them covering an 8x12 area.

I'll post results on how they do and how the controller works.

Cheers
Keep us posted Billy, I'd really appreciate any feedback you have, positive or negative. Thanks

The owner of nanolux has a bad rep/history in the hydro industry. Will his company crash and burn like his past lighting companies/ventures? Time will tell but I personally would not invest to much money into the product line in case they are not around in a few years to warranty the products. The price point is attractive on the Nanolux DE I will admit but you know Gavita and Sun Light will be around in the long run to take care of their customers.

When will monster garden be releasing a video on the nanolux de? i just saw the fixture side by side with a gavita and as far as light intensity goes it looked brighter than gavita to me. any ways monster gardens is awsome and i always trust y'alls videos. keep up the good work green leaf

Be very interesting to see how warm the nanolux runs with the ballast in that flat position,i remember gavita saying that was the reason theirs were vertical.

It makes sense more space for heat trap but these e ballast really don't get that hot. My e pap and gavita that is but for the price you could upgrade the bulb which is the only aspect I a question at this point. Can't wait for genesis and eye horti de!

Video is currently being edited! Genesis FTW...

Is Monster Gardens going to correct misinformation Genesis has given on UV levels vs the blue wavelengths? In some of your recent youtube videos the same bad info is repeated by the presenters.

It would be nice to get clarification on the spectral claims, otherwise I'm not buying that DE lamp is any better than Philips' or Gavita's (and possibly lower quality?) If you can show us trustworthy real world comparisons of all 4 lamps, then I'll give you my business ;)

Will you also be testing the Nanolux fixture against the same parameters as the Gavita vs EPap? I'd like to see data for all these DE lamps compared at farther distances from the canopy, especially footprint and ppfd for the Nanolux on several settings.

Sorry Herb, I did write up a response to your inquiry and it's on my computer at work, I will address it.

That being said, what I'd like to know is if my company offered ZERO information on this equipment but the lowest price anywhere, how would you make your decision and where would you make your purchase?

The Nanolux testing is being done and the same methods will be used like any other test. Testing on the 4 different DE bulbs will also be done. Keep in mind, the testing we do is a free-be service to the public.
