Well I have found evidence of Spider Mites! F'ers....only a couple of leaves on the AK's in veg, nothing on the girls in flower.....so I made up the old standard water with a little dish soap.
AK's...

And after spraying.
Image

I treated the NL too, since she is only 6 days into flower....it's okay to spray for the first few weeks in flower right?
Image

Everyone got a feeding and I will repeat the spraying on Friday.

F'ing mites.

Well I hope you get everything under control, make sure you gettem before they get the flowers. After you harvest you can actually do a bud wash, it is really common and it washes all the shite off before you hang to dry, should be some reading out there for you. Too bad smike didn't killem otherwise judging by the picture you would have things nailed down by now.

Take care. ;)

Been a little bit since I updated, have moved a few things around and will be doing more over the next couple weeks.
So Baglady I sarted flushing a few days ago day 43 of flower and mostly cloudy trichs.
Image

The NL is at day 16 since flip
Image

Image

The AK's have been split up the one that is getting lst in still in veg
Image

The other one that was topped once I put into flower on the 5th...she was getting too big for veg
Image

That's about it, oh except the spider mites are under control found one yesterday. I go through every leaf at least once a day:confused:
Well I hope everyone's grow green and pest free:D

Well Done RF, I would have to compliment you, your a real talented new grower, Doing really well. Love all your updates and pictures :)

Keep up the good work, and about the soap in flowering, you can literally wash your buds after you chop them, a big bin full of water and some Peroxide solution and rinse the buds before hanging.

I know some outdoor growers do it, unbelievable how much crap lands on a plant when it is outside for a several months, especially in dusty environments, there is a following of people that swear by it.

Oh there is plenty of crap that lands on plants inside especially when you have cats...

This is Pip and I think she may be knocked up atm and she loves chewing/eating on the leaves. I do my best to keep her out. This is another reason I'm moving veg downstairs.
Image

And the black and white is JackJack, one of my sons brought him home off the street around Christmas. I really thought he was fixed but turns out he was quite dehydrated if you know what I mean lol.
Image

So Baglady was chopped on Sunday, ok I know probably a week too soon but the "bag" part was taking up to much floor space and the mites did make it into the flower area, not bad very mild....hah and in the veg area I have not seen one in 3 days go figure. I hung the 6 little stalks in my hot press (airing cupboard, has the hot water heater in there and shelves for towels and such) they were ready for the jar on Wednesday, way too quick will not be using this way again...
Image

I have placed the NL and AK into straight perlite hempy without transplanting, roots on both were busting out the bottom.
Image

NL day 21
Image

The other AK in veg needs transplanting soon.

Hey red, nice journal . shame about the mites . It's strange as iv grown for years n years and iv never had any kind of leaf pests . just soil pests . and im not really that far from you Red . I think it's a bit colder were i am and I think that's what keeps them at bay .either that or just dumb luck.

Looking thru your grows @happy b, the shape and structure that u get is what I'm aiming for, a scrog without the net and I think I'm starting to get there with veg. The stretch in flower u get though is real nice, I think I have light envy. Lol

Besides from my light insecurities I am really diggin my modified hempy buckets...since Wednesday 2 feeds and a little water in between and I can notice the growth.
Thursday spread out the branches with lots of string...
Image

And Saturday.
Image

Will more than likely go full hempy next go round, while I love soil dragging it inside and upstairs isn't fun. Oh and the pests that tag along

Still looking for more stretch
NL day 24 from flip...day 12 since flowers
AK day 10 from flip...day 4 since flowers
Image

Actually looking at that pic the AK has some good stretch going.

Cheers

Thanks happy, yes cfls. Have almost 10,000 lumens of 2700k and a 300 watt led that I just realised is only half working! WTF. Don't even know how long it's been like this...

Going to go start researching lights for my space.

You are doing such a great job there with the training good for you Red, looks awesome, great attention to detail.

Looks like the LED may have lost a driver for one half of the lights :(

Howdy growers

Things are green and growing here:)
And the best bit no spider mites for 4 days now, touch wood & fingers crossed.
Anyway picture time

NL day 32 flip, 20 days since pistols
AK day 20 flip, 12 days since pistols

Did get some stretch, hope the spacing isn't too much between nodes...

Image

And the AK in veg was transplanted into hempy on Saturday... I was a bit rough with the rootball, squeezing it apart and shaking off the dirt but she took it well here she is today Monday morning.
Image

Will do some major defoil and lst tonight on her.

To say I am really liking the hempy is an understatement :p

So I am probably going to start another thread with the next round which are some Jabba's Stash crosses... I love variety if I could would be running like 10 different strains, but oh well am happy enough with 2-3.

Cheers

Hey there RF looking great, glad to hear the Nasty's haven't showed back up, I am jealous of your Northern Lights. I had one last year outdoors it was so gooey and sticky and the smell would intoxicate me. Looking forward to everything you do, Keep up the good work, and sending good vibes ;)

Going to go start researching lights for my space.
That looks like a loose wire inside . there's probably a wire that has one for each side . do you know anyone who would know how to take a look at it for you without breaking it more?

Yeah will discreetly ask a friend or two about an electrician they may know...I live in a smallish town where just about everyone either knows you or about you
Or I may just make a trip to a bigger city. We'll see.

Okay so I did a heavy defoil on the AK 48 in veg. Had to go back and look up when I popped the seed, it was dec 18th so if you don't count the seedling stage we are about week 7 of veg.

For those of you that don't believe in removing fan leaves look away now

Image

I've seen this done before and I even could have taken it further at the top growth but the shoots there are a bit to short to tie down.....it's a bit of an experiment :p
