@ Cannarado I am in for that. Been so cooped up I am developing a bad case of cabin fever from all the snow along the front range. March is upon us and with that passing the rivers will start to come alive. When ever you get the urge just let me know as I am itching to wet a line.
I still have several of your strains running. Both Chem 4 and 91 along with White Fire and my fav Lucinda. Also running Headband, Head Wreck, Chocolate Diesel and Dairy Queen. Things are going great, hope you are doing as well.

@420circit.....Thats great $89 zips....thinking the only ones who will fall for this are tourists and mooches. Just like any other business things will settle down and the strongest will survive and the rest will move on.

I see in the new Westword that prices are dropping again this week. Glad it only affects garbage weed that I have to buy at retail. Hahahahahaha. I won't bother to put up pictures of the ads, you have to trust me on this. Or not. Hahahahaha...

The reason I posted this is so that any entrepreneurial guys who are planning to make a fortune in the weed biz in CO can adjust their plans accordingly. The guys with egos as big as the Great Outdoors, those growers whose buds are so far above those in the shops that they are in a different universe, really don't need to look at this, I'm sure that your bud is so good it won't be affected by trivial things like supply and demand. :D

Recreational Promotions
$89 Ounces - Lowest Price in History

$99 Ounces of Select Strains! Members only. Limit 1

You are being a smart ass, but you are right it really won't affect those that are next level. Sell all the $50 zips they want for all i care, don't change the bottome line or price at all for quality.

What we got here guys is a rookie that thought he could make a fortune selling weed in Colo. He obviously isn't well connected and is pissed off by the bait and switch adds. I was here when he came......I'll be here when he's gone..... Bet you could find his own add on Craigs List if you were willing to take the time.
Mean while the rest of you rock on.....

@420circuit is a solid patients' rights advocate and a solid character not involved in any canna business. His only "dog in the fight" is his health and well being.

That said @420circuit I'm not sure why you seem to be taking things said in this thread so personally, or antagonizing people by saying top notch growers are arrogant or ego driven when they laugh at market prices, or laugh when you say the best is even remotely comparable to what's found on most shelves in stores. They laugh because the other option is to be insulted. Seems to me top growers only have trouble moving product when their distributor has issues or leaves town.

Let me ask- how's the gear at dispensaries match up to any private event you've attended? Do you only grow because it's cheaper to grow at home than buy in store?

I'd surmise there are about 5 good shops around the Denver/Boulder/CO Springs area. Some of them offer great pricing and others still charge 40+/eighth if they don't grow your plants. The dispensaries are having it out with the price war only because they have to in order to maintain clientele. Why?
Because the grass is mediocre at best.

Quality costs.
Guaranteed, not one of those 100 ounces is worth smoking, not to any serious medical patient or serious snob/connoisseur, and especially not to any grower worth his salt.

Are prices dropping? Yes, of course! Everywhere. But that isn't at all new. Used to be any old mediocre product would fetch 4k/lb with the best going out at 6-8k. Nowadays you have to have the right clientele to get 3500+ but it's possible. You can get $40 eighths of decent bud in St.Louis, that's new...But I guarantee the best gear in any prohibition state is still 60-70 per eighth. Ask someone from Wyoming how much an ounce goes for.

Right on NT, not clear how this turned to an argument. I posted up the ads because I am surprised at how low retail prices have gone and thought it would be a good thing to share with the others who are involved with cannabis. I have met several guys and even a nice young couple, who moved to CO to make money in cannabis and left, broke and disappointed. I know a few still here, working low paying jobs and not very happy. Like with anything, it is best to know the facts. The fact is that the price of buds at shops has dropped quite a bit here since legalization.

And yes, I am a cannabis advocate who grows and makes oil, like RSO, to treat cancer for the last few years, apparently successfully. I have smoked with some very talented, gifted growers, who have perfected the art of growing this amazing plant. It can only be amazing when a talented grower works his magic. My hydro buds are used mostly for making into oil, using Everclear, and the SuperSoil buds would normally be for smoking, but I found a gnat recently, 4 actually and made the entire garden into oil. I gave away nearly all of the oil and have heard good feedback, so this method must meet their approval.

So, I appreciate the feedback, even the asshole comments, because it is all data, stuff that we can use to learn from each other. I am pretty old and have learned that the more you communicate, the better things go. It just winds up making life better, even if it get difficult or weird, communication is really a key.

A bag of shake defying every law including gravity lol

Well done NYC!

If I could read Mayor De Blasios mind it would prolly say "is he actually holding up a bag of complete schwag at my press conference?"

The price of high quality fish has gone up!
Well, I guess I'm gonna have to smoke it all! With good friends and family of course. All those pleasant oils are so good do you.

Cheap chitty schwag no matter the cost cannot be healthy for anyone...
