I think that needs to be more widely clarified, I'm reading it all over the place. I only relatively recently heard of Triangle Kush, but have known of The White for quite some time.
In addition to fatter wider leaves with more blades. Some strains will also throw double serrations on the leaves when healthy. Vs when less than healthy they do not develop the double serrations.Forgot to add that bit about the serration!
When I first began growing, I'd asked a question about spectrum and how it might affect growth. I was told I was overthinking things, plants just need NPK and light and that's it. Obviously, now I know differently, but when it comes to the light aspects for cannabis there is still a lot for me to learn.
This mention of other stressors and the change in light makes me wonder about Capulator's thread on nutrient uptake in relation to light spectrum and whether or not there is a relation to what's being discussed here.
@leadsled -- I've only ever observed this 'behavior' when photoperiod has been screwed up. Are there other stressors besides what you mentioned that may cause this? I've done rootbound, too close to the light (but not the sun), and screwed up timers, and so far only the timers have caused this to occur.
I have a plant I revegged 10+weeks ago and it's still throwing blades. It's a Hindu Kush and it puts out mostly trefoils when it's healthy. Anyone ever seen a plant that won't completely reveg?
The Triangle kush and Legend i run also put out trefoils consistently when they are perfectly healthy.
Will they start out, like from seed, with triple-lobed leaves? The plants that are genetically prone to three leafs will show this trait all the way through flower IME. 99% of the plant will look normal, but you will find a shoot or two with 3 leafs. Honestly, I look for this and when I see it, I know it's going to be a good plant.
