Hubby and I have discussed watching Breaking Bad. I am fairly ambivalent about it. I had my round with meth, long ago. Watched it totally destroy many people, including an ex. So... I kinda have a hard time seeing it as a form of 'good' entertainment.

Tried to watch SoA, and I've never been able to suspend my disbelief. I'm always thinking, "That's so fucking Hollywood." I am completely jaded about some things.

Peaky Blinders is a great show. Looking forward to season 3.

I watch SOA, but it's really just a soap opera based off a biker gang. Really lame if you think about it. Many people rave about SOA, but IMO, it's not great.

Now BreakingBad was amazing. Great story line, great actors. Meth is horrible, and this series helps prove that.

Dexter has my heart for the top tv series in history. Really liked that show.

Ok Netfickers,if you like to binge watch like I do and like shows like Orange is the New Black then you will probably enjoy Wentworth.I've been on a binge with it and it is worthy!

I haven't read this whole thread, so if some of these are duplicates I'm sorry. Everything I'm about to mention I would say is a 5/5. They are good. A number of them are famous so you may have already seen them. I'm picky about TV series...a lot of times I lose interest. Not with the ones below.

TV - Narcos, The Killings (Killing singular maybe?) The Last Ship, Sherlock Holmes (the British one) I think Netflix has Top Gear. If you are not a car person, it won't matter much. Watch the Bolivian special where they drive trucks through the Amazon rain forest. Mad Men of course, Breaking Bad. The Fall, The Bridge. All of these I highly recommend.

Documentaries - Inequality for All (A+++++), Breaking the Taboo, Lost for Life, The House I Live In. If you have not seen those documentaries you are doing yourself a disservice. No No (Documentary about Dock Ellis, it's interesting) Whitey,

Movies - Ones that are not so famous Dawg Fight, Deadly Code,Million Dollar Baby, Nightcrawler, Fargo, The Shooter, Silver Linings Playbook, Black Hawk Down, Inglorious Bastards, The Imposter, Aviator, Four Brothers (Mark Walberg) Seal Team 6, The Italian Job, Ronin, Gladiator, The Iceman, Limitless, The Hurt Locker

Subtitled - Amorres e Perros, City of God (Cidade de Deus, this has a sequel but I forget the name, City of Angels maybe) El Cartel De Los Sapos, Carlos

Been watching blacklist,

a lot cheesey but its a fun show. Not as good as the others I posted earlier ^^^^

A couple is an understatement. They built the story around the larger discernible facts & history, but a lot of the minutia is just to make the story better.

I don't care, the show is dope!

Yes i know not every word is true but the main points are true.for example..he did persuade them into letting him do his time in a colombian jail that pablo made and owned and ran including the gaurds.the story would be too mad to be accepted if it wasnt a true story.
Show is superb.i was so engrossed i didnt even properly realise half of it was in subtitles until after episode 3 or 4.

I understand spanish, so I know what you mean lol.

The major facts are true. The smaller stuff is either hypothesis, or what they believe to be true. But it's a great series.

I wish they took more time with his ascent.

Yeah i know wat you mean.he went from smuggling tv,s and videos to trafficing millions worth of coke in the space of 3 van loads.lol.
