The Buds on the Mikado are starting to Really bulk up and are getting Frostier every day, The Cotton Candy and sweet smells are getting stronger as well.
almost a sour sweet
Going to run her a second time for sure and work out the cut with some LST and super Cropping to control the stretch a bit more.

The leaf has been consistently appearing on the short Pheno, IDK just kinda Kool.

Looking good Fly J, can see the sat pheno there, the shorty pheno has a wide leaf with the strong jagged patern u c when young...when u get that pheno... breed it... the leaf doesn't get 'thin' . I did one set on 12/12 start to finish of the wide leaf , it finished at 10" & thick 1 solid stalk, 8wks like autos, it was classic raspberry and vanilla cream like the first generation, caked with crystal... here's some pics of the latest of the mikado x lion heart... ... ooo ... trying to tame the beaster... got to bring the whip and chair... whoosh, whoosh... roar... roar... whoosh...whoosh...

Hey FlyJ, nice thread you got here, some beautiful looking Mikado's! Same with yours ChillyWilly, looking great.
I've got a mikado that went into flower 3 weeks ago, only small and she has stayed squat even after stretch. I was planning to hit her (hopefully its a her) with some pollen of a cross I made which i call night cap (one joint and it near knocks me out) but the colloidal silver didnt work. So now the mikado will be hit with some pollen from a platinum delights male I have in the stable. Really looking forward to seeing how this mikado turns out and your thread is giving me good vibes for some great meds :) I'll get a pic of her next time I'm outside!

@Easty nice stocky mutha you got there! Hard to tell if it's the raspberry till she's done. I think terpine profiles can show up in different structured plants. All the leaves in this thread do a similar look to them,even the crosses. My raspberry pheno is shorter but not super stocky. I have noticed she has super long fan leaf stems. This one has about 8-10 days left.

Say , Nitetroller , I remember the first grows , the miks were rather tall, say 3-4 feet and more spacey branches, and for me the classic vanilla cream first in flower then later raspberry fruity, kinda like ice cream, soft...that was from the original seed . I later sprouted like four more and all girls...continued on with the same aroma and dark leaves, crystal s to the max... of all my indoor I've only used MH bulbs, the warm , first I used Agrosun, then Sunmaster. My yeilds were low, but quality was through the roof. I'm using Super Grow LED system a full spectrum lighting, this thing is a beast. I've had a short period but the last mik was first led grow and my first choice was Mikado...from the last two sprays... the tall pheno a more sharper aroma than the shorty, the raspberry pheno with a wider leaf and sometimes a leaf grows inside a leaf, and some cases a flower will grow in the leaf. When I did the last mik x mik one set was short male and tall female (wide leaf male and thinner leaf female) ... then the other the tall thinner leaf male and the raspberry short wide leaf. That's the one tsa got when I was up in Colorado. That line produced the finest compared the the line I now have. I'll have to sift thorough this one to find our girl.

@chillywilly, spot on about the leaf mutations. I also get weird leafs growing out of other leafs,and also calyx clusters growing out of the fans. I had a taller pheno that had a real sour grapefruit smell and also covered in frost. Unfortunately that pheno was lost due to a clone mixup in a friends room. Looking at all these beautiful mikado's in this thread is making me want to pop a few more mikado beans to find other phenos and a nice male to breed with. This thread has also made me wish I would have saved a few of my federation beans from around 2000. Keep the mikado pics comin farmers, it's been very interesting to compare the traits of everyone's phenos.

greetings, chiming in, these my last miks 2015...these are that wide leaf and heavy jagged edges and a slight twist to the leaf and usually quite shiny...there's blondy in the back on first photo and the last...she snapped out of shock but the thin leaf pheno...most in this line up were sweet aromas not in particular the raspberry/ cream and packed with leaves. The tallest was blondie at 14 inches...it was a nice run...
