I'm getting 2.2 cu ft 107 lbs delivered for 54 but I would much rather pick it up gonna Google . seems like a hike thou from say somerdale rd . they gotta any other good stuff

Busy ass week ....gotta go have some beers with my buddy who's wife was cheating with his best friend, my other buddy . well I'm thinking ex buddy now as thats some dirty shit. I'm a loser in this also as my weekend drunken boat fun has ended now. Seems as I'm gonna need a boat soon I'm shooting for next season , big expense thou and being a farmer takes a lot of freedoms away , like I need a vacation bad but leave my flowers for a week just ain't do able.
Well feeling like a curmudgeon in this humidity and would rather sit out the bar trip after work but I can't . .

The 60 lb ProMix was 3.6 cu ft I believe. They had other ProMix stuff but not quite sure what it was. This place is more of a commercial farm supply... Consumer trade is probably just a small part of their business... Yeah it's a hike but I'm down here all week so I stopped by, in Hammonton now, Egg Harbor Township this afternoon... Get home like 8.. And lights out in my flower tent at that time, so rush home and dump in some hydro... Plants drink a gallon a day now ( each!)

Morning old farts. Reading this makes me laugh. I love growing but it sure puts shackles around your ankles. Unless peeps like me have a reliable go to person it is hard to get away long enough to really enjoy yourself. My plants don't drink a gallon a day but not far behind. I have slowed down this summer and moved all from 5 gal to 7 gal pots for more freedom. It gave me and extra day....great!!

Started this wonderful hobby a little over 6 years ago now and haven't had a vacation since. Sure, I can get away for 3 days or so but I get separation anxiety the second I get out of town. All I do is worry while I am away. Every time I get the wife or son in law to fill in for me the screw something up.

I have a cabin some 90 miles away and love going there for the fishing, hiking and relaxation. But the fact is I never relax while I am up there. Fucking plants are always in the back of my mind. Did the lights come on, is the humidity ok, are the fans operating correctly??? On and on!!

Every year I say I am gonna shut down for the summer and every year I continue to grow. WTF is wrong with me??? Once growing gets into your blood it is hard to get it out.

Today, up potting is on the list of choirs to be done. Will be mixing soil and moving several from 1 gal to 5 gal pots in veg. Getting ready for a fall run. Got starts in the dome.....getting ready for the next run. On and On. A growers life is a lonely but busy life.

@putembk ditto the above with the added stress of illegality 2/3 days max in my 60 miles away beach home and funny:eek: wife just texted and said put your vacation in for the umpteenth time and I still haven't :p

Two times upcoming this summer I'm gonna be gone for like 5 day stretches... And worrying what I'm gonna do. I have a kid (25 y.o.) "assistant" down the street and hopefully he'll help out..

I'll prep 5 gallon buckets of hydro and just have him feed them every night, but pH is a bitch... Gotta watch it like a hawk, don't think he's ready for that... I'll keep my fingers crossed. I'm also trying this House and Garden pH stabilizer soon... Maybe that'll help?!

@ wahtoogee, is your ph dropping or rising? I have had the same problem in the past with it dropping over the grow cycle. I am in Sunshine 4 and a little dolomite lime while mixing the soil helped solve the problem. I am sure you can find some kind of stabilizer to solve this problem.....I don't have a clue about hydro though....

In hydro it typically rises due to air bubbler oxygenation... If it falls, and especially rapidly..that's bad news, often pythium- root rot. So, you mix up your hydro nute solution, and due to increased oxygenation as well as the plant drinking more water or more nutes than water it fluctuates. Id say it is the one thing with hydro that is a PIA. I am just now trying this new H&G pH stabilizer.

But, I like hydro because there is NO guessing... You know you pH, nutrient concentration, amount of watering... And to me ...its turbocharged... Grows like crazy.

Bad analogy, IMHO: "soil is your wife, hydro is your mistress"!

Yeah, I know Soser, but, he's my sons best friend... Have known the kid since he was six and he's an engineer from that big engineering school in Philly.. And he's my protege... He's helped me a lot.

Soil is my wife......been married for 41 yrs next month.....thinking that's why soil works for me. I know exactly where my PH is. And I keep it stable. Practice makes perfect in anything you do.....

Marijuana is not addictive.....but growing it sure as hell is. On my 8th grow, all in Sunshine #4. Have not checked PH onetime. I know, I know, i`m gonna catch hell for this, but it is what it is. I got great well water, nothing in it to speak of. Sent a sample into the state to have it checked and it came back with , basically, nothing in it. If I can find, will post it.

16 hr power outage last night and today. Lost about 4 hr in flower last night and maybe 1/2 hr this evening. Just as I was hooking up a second geny just for the grow I felt the ac blowing. Wow powers not supposed to be back on till tomorrow kool. 9th day in flower hope I get lucky and don't get hermies.
I keep looking @ generators that run on the pto of my tractor just never pull the trigger.

You guys and your dirt. I like my rockwool and dip to waste easy peasy.

Yah I have a kid that watches my grow for me. Son's best friend he helps me more than my kid does. I've only left for long weekends It will usually run itself. The one time he had to mix veg food he freaked about ph and called another guy over to get it straight. I use my well water and it can take 24 to48 hr to stabilize the ph mostly to do with temp rise. I didn't hear the story for like 6 months I just laughed. It helps with peace of mind knowing he's keeping an eye on things.
I might get a little time off between projects. The bride and I might try to head out west for a couple of weeks. That would be the first real vaca in 4 or 5 years. Just hope the boys can run the grow. I will be nerves to say the least. But what the hell. Someone has to learn to run shit if we are going to travel when we retire.
I don't think I could just shut down and not have a crop.

Dont do it ... As they say you get what you pay for . I just spent a miserable 8 months with poor crops bugs and bad soil . I'm always gonna use pro mix and I'm always gonna be vigilant about cleanliness , life sucks when the garden is bad and its much better when the garden is good .

@yooper420 nothing wrong with the guessing as long as its all Good spent my first year in a closet without a meter and just GH 3part and man I had some great plants . the more u think u know sometimes seems worse

@stonestacker were are you at ? Man I would love to have a helper just to much of a risk and my kid just wants to smoke she could care less about the grow . brb

Topic co2 . I used to use a tank 10 gal I think but couldn't get the tank refilled to old or something so I stopped . yesterday after reading a thread I brought home from work a Styrofoam cooler full of dry ice ( we have unlimited dry ice at work )
And it lasted all 12 hrs in like a 12 pack Styrofoam cooler up high with a fan blowing . so my question is this worth doing daily well Monday to Friday if I gotta carry it to my car 5 blocks away. Anyone notice any co 2 benefits or anyone got any scientific info on if there getting enough co2 to be beneficial.

I would love to learn hydo as some yields seem off the charts good but truthful it scares the shit out of me and I don't think ill ever leave dirt

Off to see the liver doc hopefully my heb c is still undetectable I have not been back since I was told it was 5 yrs ago
