This might be a stupid question But I see you hang dry plant with leafs still on it? Is there any specific reason? I've thought you were to trim up before the hang. Here's my newb still showing through.

yes sir!..lastweek I did a pop bro. and it was a fail. thinking some papertowls I used were contaminated. this round I used unbleached filters. went from 0% to 100%
If you let M soak overnight, add a capfull of hydrogen peroxide bro. It'll kill off ANYTHING in the water, the seed shell or whatever pathogens it may come in contact with after you take them out to plant, be that the media you choose or even a moist paper towel you leave M in till the tails pop. PS. Ladies look GORGEOUS, as usual !!! Keep on keepin On bro.

I used to trim wet bro.
the first reason I stopped, was I went to cali for a trimming vacation. and got to trim at a legit grow opp.
and the teachers I had/have are oldschoolers.
not really a wrong way id say..but I do like the end flavor best that way. if its not frosty I pop it off as mulch

Ok, cause I JUST cut down my Three hermies I moved outside and I trimmed them completely up,then after midnight I get on here and see your post w/all the hashy leafs still on and wondering if I fuckedup. You say taste better? I guess it leaches flavor out of leafs? I thought by removing them I would get rid of a lot of : hay smell,flavor..not that there is any...

I think the only way you can fuck up drying, is turbo dry or have the rh to high when drying

@tattoojim thanks again my friend. Like I said no hay smell, just curios. So I've still have three of these that didn't herm on me, so I think I might just leave them like you've done,, remove shade leafs and let dry then trim. It would be a good comparison for me anyway. Thank you again

Have you ever tried a drying screen before? I have some screen material I was thinking of building a drying screen out of. My question is this ( if I use a screen does that take place of the hanging part of the mix ,yes?) so it would go from screen to jars.

Dry trim is the way to go. I dry on a 6 tier screen in the tent. If I trim wet then drying is done in 4 days. If I trim dry then it's done in 7-10 days in my conditions and the smell is stronger. After its dry I trim as much sugar leaf off then jar it and start the curing process.

What's up @Og Gong , hey I appreciate the reasoning behind a dry trim compared to a wet trim. Well shit, I guess I should of waited one more day until I toke down. But hey I can now say I learned something new today, and why my shit smells stout while growing but not after the cure. Good to know and now I will do a good dry first then trim then jar.
So on the screen right after cut down? Removed from branches then, so just buds on screen with trich covered leafs still on? I'm sorry I know it might be a simple answer but I'm more visual. Any picks of any drying at the moment?
I appreciate all the help from both of you. @tattoojim .

I just pull the fan leaves off and I leave the buds on the branches with the sugar leaves intact because that also helps slow down the drying process. In my situation I have good airflow but my temps are warmer than I like so my drying time is quicker than I would like it to be. So I adjust to my situation.

If my plants herm and sometimes they do. I pull the fan leaves off then take the buds off the branches and put the buds in a zip lock and they go straight into the freezer. Then after its frozen asap I make bubble hash.

my way is ...hang for a week to 2, dry trim nice, final dry on screen till they get to the stem snapping point. then jar/bag and cure

That's kind of what I was thinking of doing with it,so it goes directly into freezer? How long will it stay good for in freezer? I have to order or track down some bags around here.
Last round I did I trimmed it wet and hung for 12 / 14 days until I removed from branches and jarred. It had some smell and taste . Again thanks guys and I'm sorry @tattoojim for jacking your thread. I'm done for now.. Until you post something again.. I was always the one fucking kid that had a question for everything..
Cool tattoo I just saw your post after I posted.i will do a dry trim this time coming up. Thank you .

Hang dry would be my first option ;). The screen helps me save space. I dry in my vege tent after harvest and relocated the vege into the bloom.
