Nope, living in America we have plenty of experience with Chinese products.
Americans are finding out more and more, it's just not worth it to do business with a Chinese company unless you are willing to forget about warranties and refunds on faulty products... Sometimes it's better just to bite the bullet and buy another one, as they are so cheap.

i don't like your way to talk about a country where u've never been.
you can say so about chinese in America maybe, but i do business with China from more than 10 years and what you saying it's never happened to me.
what you saying is not respectful for chinese companies n chinese economy, and trust me, even America buy a lot of stuffs from China.
if you don't trust them why don't u buy lights made in USA?

Can't wait for that~~

And this is the problem with dealing with China... Lots of talk, but little action.
It is however, understandable... They are a long ways away, and there is a language barrier.

I bought 12 LED lights from China, and seven of them have burned out... they were all good quality when they worked, and they all worked for at least a year, maybe a year and a half. Some burnt out after about two years, and some are going strong in well over 3.

I mean really, what do you expect from a communist country that exploits its workers?

Better to bite the bullet, and just buy another light... anything is better than sending it out for repairs after harvest! Lol.:)

Hi Ken dog,

Welcome to Mars Hydro Family :)

This message just freshened my sleepy brain this morning! :D:D Firstly , I'm sorry if your business with my compatriots was not going on well , and it made you disappointed. Secondly, I would like to say, thanks for choosing Chinese products again and again, cuz I believe you still like it, If it's really so bad, I don't think you still would spend money for troubles, again and again. Maybe at this moment you wanna say "I have no choice, Chinese stuffs are cheap" but low price really equal cheap quality? Maybe you forgot how many big companies in this world locate their factory in China, most products in this world are still labled "Made in China", such as Apples, Philips, even many Luxury brands are still made in China... Check around your home, pots in kitchen, cups, sofa, TV, bed...I guess most of them are made in China :) If made-in China is doomed to be bad, I don't think this world still can work normally.

But I have to admit, there are still some Chinese people don't obey the rule in business, but it's just a part, I think in every country there are some people like this. But we can't deny all just because of a part. Still, I can't say our company is perfect, but those problems people respond to us only can make us better. Me and other staffs in Mars Hydro all are pretty young, we are patient, we are like fresh meat in this world, not influenced so much by this commercial world yet, all we want is working hard, and try to help our users. :) Hope you can believe in us.

I also think language barrier should be a reason to make us more patient and understandable to each other :)

Yeah, maybe you really should have a trip in China, I believe you will change some mind about this country. Stereotypes are everywhere. People think Italians eat pasta everyday, think Americans eat fried food all the time, think indians wear their costume clothes everyday... but when we really stand on that land, we will feel it's a totally new place, all stereotypes might be gone.

I have traveled in couple of different countries, to be honest, no where people can work hard as Chinese people do, Chinese are very efficient as well. This is a very objective comment :)

Anyway, wish one day you will visit China, and have a good trip here ! If you are also a grower, wish you big big harvest!

What I can't wait for, is to see how you handle the overheating 400 watt LED that eastcoastjoe is complaining about...which is the reason that prompted me to respond to this thread.
I hope I am pleasantly surprised and that you will rectify the situation.
Talk the talk and walk the walk, is very important... Otherwise it is simply marketing BS with no substance.

Personally, I don't care whether or not there is customer support or a replacement warranty involved... I don't expect it or demand it from a company that is located in China.
What I care about, is that if someone says there is an actual warranty, I would like to see it actually honored... otherwise, don't say it.:)

Hi Ken Dog,

I can understand why you think in this way…But forum is a place only can communicate by words, peple can't see what i have done. In fact eastcostjoe and me still keep talking in PM, for some suggestions or some prices for new products.

So why this issue is not resolved yet ?
Firstly, i need to know if it's really something wrong about our light. As a company, we also need to be cautious about warranty, because some people might take advantage of us if we don't check, but of course I'm not doubting eastcoatjoe, this is just a must process for company, I can't change it. So I'm still waiting for the response from eastcostjoe:)
Secondly, I have seen eastcostjoe said his plants are near to harvest, that's why I said after harvest please send to our repair shop in PA. If he doesn't mind, he also can send the light to PA now. If it's problem of our light, I will resolve all problems by the warranty policy for sure! :)
Thirdly, I told eastcostjoe already, if it was 3-year warranty when he purchased it, the new policy will not influence his original right.

I wish I can help eastcostjoe asap too, but I need to get the response from him first. I know he keeps complaining about heat issue in this thread for some days, but for real, I think maybe eastcoatjow wants to wait after harvest… that's why this problem is still here . :)

Thank you Mr MarsG... It is certainly none of my business,.. But since it was brought up, I thought I would inquire.

If the warranty is as good as you say, and it is honored, I will seriously consider purchasing a few of your lights.
The fact that you have a repair location in Pennsylvania, says a lot... I hope this works out well.:)

I can't say anthing about other companies, but I can promise to all the customers, our company is following our warranty policy seriously, or we can't be one of the most popular LED grow light companies now :)

I think the warranty should be two years... For what it's worth.

By writing the above statement, I am giving you the benefit of doubt regarding your warranty policy... that is, I am now assured that you will fulfill your warranty obligations.

Thanks for the welcome. I just ordered another Mars Reflector 480w from your site on Ebay. I had germinated a couple of seeds that was given to me and as the plants get older I am beginning to think they are two different variety of plants. Meaning I think I will have a problem trying to flower one and the other may need to flower at a later time. I will need another lite anyways for seedlings and etc, but now I can remove one of the plants to be safe and flower each one in a different area. I have my lights at around 12". Once these plants are harvested I will buy seeds of the same variety and this way I can keep a grow going. I have a temperature gauge in the grow tent and since I have the grow tent in a room with no heating, I had to put a flood light in the tent to keep the temp around 75 to 80. I was using local bought fertilizers but after searching the sites and you tube, I have switched over to Blue Plant with good results.
