I agree that you should go with HPS for flowering, I'd definitely go with the 600's. It's always hard to tell in these pics but, your LED's look very red, I hope you didn't buy flowering spectrum LED's and using them for starting, I made that mistake early on when I was using them, it really screwed things up for quite a while for me actually, couldn't figure out what was going wrong. They don't respond well to it. (It didn't help that the info I read on the light said it was good for both, much later found out it was only for flower. I did end up buying a veg LED that I used for quite a while that worked well.) When you buy the LED's that don't switch spectrum's they sell them spectrum specific, you can get veg LED's or flower LED's. I've never used CFL's but, I started with LED's then switched to MH and now I'm using t5's, all things considered I think the t5's are the best way to go for vegetative growth, they work well for all stages of veg from seed, or new clone, up through. If you have the space, and want to go that far, some people start under the t5's and after 2 or 3 weeks switch to the MH for the rest of veg. The t5's are fairly inexpensive to buy and operate and heat is greatly reduced over MH or the LED's I've used.
That's my 2 cents.

You sir have just made me purchase a 600 watt, closed hood, hps & mh setup. Hope it all works. ALSO, the Leda have a lot of blue and red. It's actually really purple. Then again, what do I know.....

Oh yeah, the flowering LED's will have some blue in them, you really need to figure that one out for sure, flowering LED's will be terrible for your plants if you're starting them under them. That was my experience anyway.

How exactly do you tell?

Can you find info about them online? I would think you'd be able to get that from where you bought it. If not, we may be able to figure it out by the number of LED's in each set and how many of them are blue.

Oh the fun stuff. Should I just take the panel down and snap a pic?

Should I just take one of them down, snap a pic, and show you? Also, I just bought a pack of the OG BIOWAR. Any thoughts on it?

No, just look at one cluster of LED chips in your light and count how many there are, then how many of them are blue or white looking.

Tell me what you've got.

It's 1/2 blue, 1/2 red. It honestly looks purple, when lit. I know it has IR lights in it as well, or UV. Whichever, I know for a fact that it's a Mars Hydro 300 watt. In the sale ad, it states that it's a veg/flower led panel.... So I got two of the exact same.

I don't know anything about the OG BIOWAR, I've never used it. I use FoxFarm nutrients.

I can help with some stuff but, you'll be much better off with some of these other people. Check out "A Proper Introduction" in the "Introduce Yourself" section and you'll understand what I mean.

How does one go about getting the OG biowar?
OGBIOWAR.COM USe code FARMER and get a discount. It tells you on site how to brew a tea. I use the tea brew once a week as my flush. The plants LOVE it!

I have the blue planet nutrients, know anything about them? I have 8 ladies under the two mars. Then I have 3 other ladies, under a 250 Apollo horticulture cfls. The girls under the leds, look better by far. I'm not using a RO system, I decided against it. I do have other nutrients, besides the BPN, also have the FF line, just in smaller bottles. I also have the dynagro, bloom and kln. For additives I have GH flower kiss, flora micro hard water, superthrive, and just ordered the OG Biowar (roots pack). With all of this, what would you do?

Also, I have both rockwool and rapid rooters. However I get no luck with either. I know that all of you on here can do it, but I have yet to figure it out. If it helps, I have clonex and clonetek. Have two different trays, heat mat and a 6" super sprouter dome. Again, I mess it up every time. I know ours something incredible obvious and simple.

idk why everyone is nagging on LEDs, they've really come a way in the last year or so. If it's what you've got stick with it, they are simple and that's what you need right now. Step up your lights later if you plan on scaling up your space or putting more work into it, if your grow can handle 600 watts of LEDs you shouldn't need any reason to be air cooling your 600 watt hps.

if you want to keep moms and clone a plant you may want to find a cutting that is reputable, unless you are interested in labeling and cloning each of your seed plants individually, so you can catalog what you have in flower.

never heard of your nutrients before, if you have problems with them look up "veg bloom" in the search on this site and consider using that nutrient, I've seen massive success with it in large scale and small grows.

So your saying, just use the leds that I already have.? Plus I'm not just caring for me. I'm a care giver for my mother and father as well. Also, I can't afford to grow small, popcorn bud plants. I need dense, tight, resinous, and high in THC, with mild CBD content.
