Went up to Georgetown and did the train ride. Give it two thumbs up for older folks and little kids.

...now on to the goofy story, keep in mind its my 70 year old dad coming out to see his 3 year old grandson. So we do our train ride and my pop wants to go into georgetown and cruise around. Well sure, its a nice historic town with a pretty downtown area, however that is not the reason we go, he wanted to get a drink. We proceed to drive around while he tells us of this bar and how some dude he sorta knew got shot to death there. Not a big town and we have covered most of it without luck, so I ask if he can tell me anything about it to help find it...well it was great in 1985. He refused to believe it is maybe a different business or just gone. I have to ask him "pops, why do you want to take your 3 yr old grandson to a bar you like mostly because you knew a guy that got shot there...?" "Well...they will have ice cream. bars all have ice cream somewhere, its for the kids. I learned that with you." And with that, we ventured back to the city.

S Platte river near Deckers was excellent, very beautiful and a few trout for fun at Manitou lake and the views from there...let me tell you, I wish I took pictures. Colorado se miro bien lindo, sierra hermosa! Gran tiempo con la familia.

I used to fish the heck out of that area when I was younger. Taking 67 and going 'downstream' there is a narrow area that I have always referred as the chutes. Above and below are awesome. If you don't mind the hike you can fish Strontia Springs, above Waterton Canyon and below Deckers. No one ever fishes that lake. No boats as it's water supply. Our family used to know the family who owned one of the homes by the diversion dam, so we would go up and take a boat ride and fish from the boat. He was in charge of surveying the lake for dead bodies. We just happened to have our fishing poles, and it was glorious.

I have sort of a weird question for you local or just in the know people. What sort of law governs flying between legal states? Can you fly between CO, WA, OR without concern or do they follow federal law? I am guessing federal? Who enforces it?

If you are talking about flying from a commercial airport and going through security checks to other rec states then it is still federally illegal since flying is federally regulated. But I have heard that the TSA will just notify the local authorities, and what would they do? Probably not much...but still illegal.

That is pretty much what I thought. My dad swears by some cbd weed lotion he gets in WA and he just flys around with it, probably not a great idea but he has never had an issue.

Charlotte's Webb CBD oil says nothing about marijuana or thc or anything. Just labeled as a hemp extract - dietary supplement. It doesn't smell and hemp must have less than 03% thc, obviously this product meets those requirements. But from the pic he'd be fine.

I think problems come with those who feel entitled to celebrate their freedom in a disrespectful way to those with differing views on the subject.

Also this:

There is no way an airline would allow open carry of marijuana. "or poses other security concerns. The final decision rests with TSA on whether to allow any items on the plane."

I'd bet money that pot would fall under the broad term of 'other security concerns'. TSA would never allow that risk on their planes, too much liability.

Yeah, it is something along the lines of what you linked. Zero recreational value other than it helps him be able to walk without pain. I guess being able to walk leads to recreation so....

I didn't study the label or anything, not sure if it was obviously labelled as anything other than just a lotion.

TSa is not looking for pot, always fly with small stash in carry on no worries...
Coming back from Jamaica I had the most terrifying experience. Got off the plane in Miami and had to walk a hallway with dogs down each side. Thank god those assholes didn't catch my pineapple smuggling ring. Who other than a 12 year old would try and smuggle like that? I did bring back more than my allotted amount of blue mountain coffee as it was amazing.

Funny you mention it. I took a cruise in high school to cancun grand cayman the ocho rios. jamaica is interesting. I almost got robbed by a homeless guy but ended up okay. Found some herb and got pulled over in a taxi within a hundred yards of the boat. I had an ounce stuffed in my crotch (insert dick joke) and another in the arches of my shoe. They took us out and had us sit on the curb at gunpoint, then searched the vehicle and arrested the driver. The guy with the gun said to get going. They were cracking down on illegal cabs, so we didn't even have to pay the fare (it was a fair fare I fink). Spent the next three days in the shower with towels stuffed at the door, but we still managed to hotbox the crap out of the floor. Kids are assholes.

I came across a couple varieties in jamaica. They look to import mexican brick weed, came across that a couple of times. Our airport shuttle that stopped at a bunch of resorts even pulled over so people could buy this terrible shit. The resort I stayed at was sort of in ocho rios and was mostly vacationing jamaicans and british people, not a mega resort. Got desperate and picked up some terrible mexican brick from a lifeguard. Did some more searching and got a nice fresh strong sativa from a bartender for a great price. Jamaica gets two thumbs down in the quality department. I am sure there is magic, and the sativa i got was real nice and rather unique, but overall it was bad weed and a country that was not safe to just walk around, so no thanks dudes.

Ya mon.
Went there once, rented a car, wild driving.
we got somewhat hijacked by a con artist who fixed us up with a house. they made dinner and in morning wanted 300 bucks machete in one hand, settled for around 100 and got the hell out..
One of my fave stories...
Just before departing Montego bay I ate some curried goat stew, real good.
At the Huston airport I felt a little unsettled.
Was standing at the baggage claim area where the bags come out of shoot.
I farted out a small emission and it was the dankest smelliest fart I and everyone in the area had ever smelled.
people had horrified looks on their faces, some moved away, some held hankies over nose and mouth everyone was aghast.
Funny how little farts smelled so bad, had to come from deep within...
Emitted a few more in the customs line, no one wanted to loose there place in line so they turfed it out, no farts ever have come close to that malodorous day at the airport....

Got clipped by some hair braiding place in Jamaica . My wife wanted those little tiny braids they do so we found a shop and agreed on a price. Once the job was done the price was much different and a bunch o big dudes showed up in the doorway. Negotiated it down a bit and got the hell out. On one hand it is some dirt poor people doing what they have to do to get by, on the other...ripoff artists are some lowlife folks and should not be tolerated. Don't mess with the tourists, it is killing your golden goose.

I'm sticking with Amsterdam for weed vacations. Only bad experience there was my own fault for not listening when the shop owner said the strain of shrooms I bought were 2 to 3 times stronger than what I was probably used to. I of course just started chowing down...within 20 minutes I realized I should have listened. Thank goodness for the purple police officers that pointed me in the right direction to get back to my hotel to ride it out.

Well, had to go back to the midwest for a week...holy smokes I freaking love CO. I think this is by far the fastest I have ever adopted a place I move, never leaving again, it just felt so good to take the ridiculously long drive from DIA back to denver. Thank goodness its a big state with lots to see.

ps. even the bad dispensary weed is better than what a lot of the black market gets outside of major cities/markets, forgot about that. stuff was kinda gross.

Went to redrocks today. If anyone saw a guy driving a remote control car along the trail with a long haired 3 year old, howdy. I am really kinda bummed, one of my favorite musical artists is apparently performing tonight. Heard the soundcheck and my kid headed for it, he got excited and ran towards it. zombies!!!!!wooo, saw lots of people walking/hiking in costume.

ps. hahahaha, wtf why do people wear camelpacks and have hiking poles at that place. Theres a visitor center for god sakes.
