Everyone here has, for the most part, been kind, respectful, and super helpful and knowledgeable!! I definitely wouldn't be this far along in my knowledge and growing that's for sure! I won't go on on....I just hope everyone here knows how much I appreciate y'all!!! The years of me going out on this cray cray night are long behind me, so please guys, if your going out BE SAFE and whatever you do PLEASE DON"T DRINK AND DRIVE, it's never worth it!!!!

Na thinkin led or cmh. I have my doubts on his yield being the truth but probably not far from what he said. But I can see where his buds wasnt what they should have been lacking density and frost because of t5s.
You trying to rock some t5 too?
My jaw hit the fucking floor when I heard what he yeilded

In my opinion those plants are too far deficient to really pop back.

Feeding excess nitrogen now will lead to toxicity because they simply aren't utilizing as much nitrogen any longer. And if if they don't show overt toxicity I guarantee it will lead to harsh smoke and black nasty ash. You can transplant to ride it out and not have a complete loss, but your buds will not grow to be very dense or flavorful.

Trying to chase deficiencies only works in when it's early in becoming deficient, and then only barely. The life cycle of cannabis is so short that a week of malnutrition will be noticeable in the end product. Hell, some strains, like OGs, never truly perform 100% if they get deficient during veg or flower, simple purple stems are enough to indicate you missed it this round, better luck next time.

If you can ride it out, do it, just don't expect your buds to be very aromatic or dense. Sorry to be so blunt, just trying to be clear.

Hes dead right about toxicity... if you add N, pretend those leaves are full dead... dont try to add enough to fix everything... go real, real easy...

Ah MG. I always find your posts fascinating
Do I detect an err of sarcasm in that? :D
I never know, since I'm usually posting some tangent from left field. haha.
When I got the chance to meet a few forum guys earlier this year, I half expected to get a drink thrown on me or something; lol. Everyone seemed very welcoming; though most didn't know my handle, so maybe I'd get a drink tossed now hxD.

you think flushing is just as important in soil? running organic in soil?
So it would be kind of a different thing. I do run extra water through at the end like I normally would. Still get my plants to fade that way. But it d
A transplant should be the first thing you do before fixing shit that aint broke.
If a transplant dont fix it, you can narrow it down easier... especially since a Tx will solve 85-90% of your problems.

All this talk of HPS... Am I the only one flowering under CMH?
I use the 860 phillips CMH in a 1000w ballast all the way from veg through flower.
Frost is definitely greater, stretch is reduced, density is still on point... yield might suffer a touch, but I care less about that...

also, in a good water only soil, every day is a flush day....
no your not the only one. Lol. However probably one of the only I know with those bulbs. And my point is at 400 watts there is minimal difference between what the bulbs will do. At 1k I'd say there is probably a much more noticeable difference. What's a tx?

@SeaF0ur

I remember reading how when dealing with CMH that unless your rocking the phillips 315 mastercool (i think thats the name) that it really isn't all that special or even better then hps in any way. Now when dealing with the phillips 315 it is the TRUTH in flower lighting...I can't remember for the life of me where I read it, maybe another forum or maybe some daily emails i get about growing and hydroponics...Aggain this is just what I read and I felt like you'd be a great person to ask about what you think about that??? thoughts?

im pretty sure i also read in the same text that they stopped making any other size other then 315 or maybe just that they stopped making the 400's...memory isn't all that great...

They are a conversion bulb that only works in a vert position... or thats what the box says and I rock parabolic anyways... but they're very similar to the 315's yet the 315's are still a bit better... and much more efficient.
They're proper CDM's and they have a better spectrum (more natural) than MH or certainly the orange of HPS...
I like em a whole lot, but they're horrible inefficient... only using 860w of a 1000w ballast, the extra unused energy is converted to heat throughout... everything... even the cord going to the parabolic is a little warm to the touch where it wasnt while using just HPS...
I think they're a great step, but as for buying new, I'm still torn between the 315's and gravitas... then again, since they're runnin on moguls and old school tech, theyre a comparable cheap option for a retrofit upgrade similar to the 315s...
