Yes, tomatoes and peppers, it's been a big issue for me in the past with my soil cultivation. At first I was messing with adding Ca, via gypsum mostly, but I even tried a few applications of 6% Ca (the BioLink product). Nothing, no reversal, not even reduction of the occurrence. I messed with getting the watering as even as I possibly could, it was getting absolutely ridiculous.

Then one day I decided to try the Sea-90, since I already had my sprayer tank going, went ahead and used it on the veggies.

And ALL BER stopped, dead in its tracks. I don't know exactly why, but it did the trick. And keep in mind my soil is Ca-poor, very tight, heavy clay, so additions of CaSO4 are called for.

And the effects lasted. I only have to do a couple of applications per season. I go through a lot more in the AP system due to the volume of the system, but everything responds beautifully. Since it is an aquatic system I don't bother using it as a foliar, it goes right into the main pond.

Have I mentioned I have bluegill that are breeding size now, along with the crawdaddies that are breeding? :) Estoy muy orgulloso.

I've never had BER with my tomatoes. I use old Coot's mix from my indoor garden for my outdoor plants. Lots of Ca from worm castings, oyster shell, gypsum, dymanic accumulators, etc. Last year I grew green zebras and rose de berne tomatoes. This year I'm on a mission to plant San Marzanos!

I spray my plants with 3 different types of sprays weekly - all ratios are at per gallon

- Kelp/Fulvic - 1 tablespoon / .5mL
- (IPM) Bronners Peppermint Soap / Oils - 5mL / .5mL
I change the oils weekly, ran out of neem have spinosad for those bad days.
- Plain Damn Water sometimes with leftover coconut water from smoothies.

@Patanjali Well if this isn't an old face, a haggard hello to you my friend!

Would it be a SO haggard hello? :)

I keep a weekly foliar super simple with extremely dramatic results in veg and early (2 weeks) flowering. A tsp of Nitrozime...tsp of Fossil Fuel humic/fulvic acid and less than a quarter tsp of Humboldt Sticky yucca wetting agent to a quart spray bottle. Soak them down once every 6 to 7 days mostly in veg. The results far surpass anything i ever tried different. Keep Rhizotonic in the roots where it belongs. This concoction pretty much puts all the other sprays ive used to shame.

What's the pricing of the Humboldt Sticky Yucca as compared to ThermX?
10 bucks for a little pint i believe. I know...rip off alert. But that 10 dollar bottle will last me 8 months to a year. Just a few drops in a quart spray bottle. It makes the nitrozime/humic spray absorb into the leaves instead of forming droplets and rolling off. I sprayed some Dream cuts (actually plants) with it for about a month..once every week and its night and day different without it. I only topped them once amd it looks like i topped the shit outta them and vegged them for twice as long as i actually did. Cytokinin is a marvelous hormone.

Be careful with a high cytokinin kelp extract like nzime though. A little goes a long way and different strains may react differently. I actually had to back off with it on a heavy sativa leaning cut like Dream. If you start getting wierd twisty leaves and mutated growth....you used too much too often. Just quit the weekly sprays when you get the bushiness and node growth yoh want and they snap right out of it. Theres not a strain that goes through my lineup with out weekly nzime/humic foliar sprays.

I like the "a little dab'll do ya" philosophy. I've only heard of the ThermX, so it's good to know it's not the only yucca product out there. Thanks!

Is it hydrodynamic nitrozime ? I see there is 3 bottle of nitrozime on the net

Yes. Nitrozime from Hydrodynamics International. Its a concentrated kelp seaweed extract. Be sure and add a quality humic/fulvic acid and yucca wetting agent to it. Weekly foliar spray. Top once...after a few weeks...looks like youve topped 10 times. No joke.

Good i already have thermx70, you spray that combo only in veg or beginning of flower to ? And fossil fuel better Then fulpower or Its like the same ?

Well Fossil Fuel has humic acid as well...Fulpower being a pure quality fulvic. I would go with what ya got. Fulvic acid is ideal for a foliar application and true hydroponic recirculation reservoirs. And yes...once every 5 to 7 days in veg and the first few weeks of flowering.

Ok thanks for info !

@Seamaiden where you referring to BER on maters??? Cause I just cant seem to get a friggn handle on it with my heirlooms. Maybe we can take this off thread to not jack the OP's thread. PM me with your BER solution pleeeez
bro you can stop blossum end rot at transplant, mix 1 tbsp of crushed to powder egg shells, mix with 2 tbsp of cider vinegar, mix well drop in you transplant hole then a cover of 2 to 3in of compost little dirt and roll, this is the long term way i have come to like

I have to ask. Had you at one point struggled with BER and then after using this method found it to be effective?.
I'm thinking yes as why else would you be using this technique. Inquiring minds bro.......
But either way Ill try it . Thanks again

yes sir even use it with the cucumbers,my tomato plants awesome, fruit end rot 3 yrs in a row,was watching old alabama gardener and remembered my grand pa use to do the same in his home garden, tried it on the cucmbers this past season with sucess also,i got a coffe mate creamer can full of shells, hahah you can also use the shells for potash ,just burn um to a crisp and good to go bro,the mix will be thick,i dug under where i transplant to about 4 inch deep, put the egg vinegar slurry in hole, cover with couple in of compost then a layer of soil, transplant in and let it rock,,give one a try and see if it works for you, does on mine and i also deal with extreme heats here and still does well
