Thank you for watching. I am really learning a lot from the farmers here and credit "y'all " that my grow is coming along.

We can only share the information. :). Don't discredit yourself because even with the best conditions people can kill plants.. hahaha.. :) It shows you care for your plants and giving them a healthy life. You will reap the benefits in time come harvest time.. :)

My neighbor is an 80 year old retired CA Highway Patrolman. If he stands at the very edge of his 50 acres he can glimpse my garden.
I passed him on our one lane road yesterday, gave him the traditional smile and wave. He drove by with a stern face and not even a nod. Hmmmm, I think I just figured out the helicopter flyover last week.
Hey buddy, I think it could be the opposite. Maybe he thinks you had something to do with the flyover. He could be growing too!:) Looks like you have a pretty sharp gopher on your hands. At least he didn't bring it back to you and leave it under your house! LOL. I love the looks of that Sweet Cheese. And of coarse all of the others too!

Good Saturday to you!

It's been hot all week, in the nineties during the day. I, glad the mountain cools a bit at night, unlike down in the sacto valley.
I have been tucking branches through the cage trying to get an even canopy. The 707 headband sits at 3.5 feet tall, 4 foot wide, almost all the others are 4 foot. The light ferts applied had no obvious effect. Yesterday I top dressed maybe cup and half of fish meal and kelp. I haven't watered in yet, possibly today. My holes are deep and it seems I can go almost a week between watering even with this heat.
Oh, and the bberry plant still producing early bud and three finger leaves trimmed down from six foot to just over five.
Got the mower hooked up to the tractor, major PIA , and got some dried grasses cut. I really need a person to help out during the summer maybe a few hours per day since I don't like working in hot sun, but the orchard is hard to miss.
Thanks to all for reading. Feel free to pitch any suggestions or advice as we move through the veg, especially tips on approaching flowering! I like to prepare, lol.

Creek side guerrilla grow. Mason jar seed, aka bag seed, lol. Nothing but creek water, sun/shade.

Lol. I know a lot of old people who look straight but vastly enjoy cannabis. He ain't one of em. We have a history. The crazy bastard stole our gate eight years ago claiming it was on his property, years later he cut the lock on my new gate with a note telling me I was blocking emergency access to the (closed area of) the national forest from fire fighters ( no fire). When I went to confront him about it, he pulled a concealed hand gun and pointed it at me. I saw it coming and matched his gun with my phone cam, telling him he was live on the Internet. The bluff worked and my vid shows him guiltily tucking the gun away.
So we both call the sheriff. The several sheriffs investigated as if I was the instigator, citing the old man says I displayed some vague weapon first, it was his word against mt word, etc. my threatening him might have come before I started taping, etc.
Finally, I was told I could arrest him for vandalism and destruction of property to my chain, but the sarge told me he didn't want to arrest an old retired cop, asked me not to. I agreed, ( he is old and crazed, even more than me!) The sheriff told me he would explain my graciousness to my neighbor. Seemed to help, we speak kindly and wave on the rare occasions we see each other.

Nice thread. Been slowly reading it the past few days (which explains the 100 likes haha over the course of the last three days or so).

First thing first: the less you worry, the less you have to worry about. Fuck the flyover, you're good. Don't worry about it until you have to worry, ya know?

Second: if a motherfucker is pulling a gun on you, don't talk to him,no matter how close he lives to you. Pulled a gun? End of story. You don't need to act like a friendly neighbor anymore.

Now, on to the really important stuff haha.... Which strains flowered on you so early? Just curious, but like @Orcaman said, some strains just do that. I'm super-interested to know which ones started flowering so early, though.

Also, I would resist the urge to keep dressing with, uh, anything, really. Sounds like you got those holes relatively dialed. I'd let 'em do their thing and see how they turn out. The gypsum top dress especially I would've waited on, but yeah, I'd just do straight water from here on out. I really, really dont know shit, but I do believe that the fewer inputs, the better ,especially if you've been working those holes for the last eight months or however long it's been. If I was gonna add anything, it'd be a compost tea and that's it. I'm sure you know this already, but as long as your mix has everything you need, then, uh, it has everything your plants need. Just get that microlife thriving and call it a day.

But that's just me haha.

Anyway, yeah, like I said, nice grow. Don't stress. Just groooowwwww......

Im a little late but just caught myself up to speed. And all I can say is I'm green with envy lol. I'd love to be able to grow outside like that, looks so fun. All jokes aside though brother looks great. Those girls are gonna be beasts come harvest time. Nothin but love

First off, like away! Lol,makes my day. Thank you for the interest and kind words.
The stories I could tell about my next door neighbor whose house is 1/4 mile away from mine, but he has a little spot where he can spy on my orchard. Really the only privacy breach we have and it has to overlook my orchard.
The flyover was so low and obvious it was creepy as hell. I truly expected my door kicked in for days, but I'm over it. Actually, it was a great reminder not to let things grow out of hand, keep to the rules. Our place is private enough we really paid little attention to details like square footage, fencing, etc. We are good on number of plants.
The early plants...Both of the g13 Labs Blueberry Gum were seeds under 18/6 till may 9 th. Both grew tall and wide before shooting threes and budding. Big thick trunks. The other was a Killer Kush,f1, fast version. Small plant shot some nice lil buds. Letting her continue to grow. Also letting one blueberry stay since I don't have another replacement plant.
Flushing all the holes with gypsum was done at the dire warning from the botanist after a soil test that showed my soil was hot enough to fry an egg. I have absolutely no doubt that the soil test was wrong, probably the sample submitted was a singular hot spot.
I know the test was wrong because all the little plants were flourishing, but I chose safe rather than sorry.
That was my first and possibly last soil report, lol
Thanks again for reading. Just a few more weeks and things should start to get interesting!

Feeling the love, thanks for the good words. I dreamed many years of living in the woods and growing some good. Then all of a sudden, boom, it became real. Ten years ago, few people would have bet on me living this life, lol the way life turns out! I hope that your dreams also work out.

Happy Independence Day to fellow Americans, and I guess now the same to Great Britain.
I have been working in the orchard along side my wife. Yesterday we dug out the 3 finger flowering blueberry gum. Replaced it with my last potted plant ( well, got one more tiny one, but not going there at this late date.). We also watered all but a few holes that seem to hold moisture better than the rest.
We moved the plastic plant tags to more visible spots by putting them on the cages.
This morning I cleaned up under about half the plants. I removed low hanging leaves that might touch the soil and also whatever inner stem growth that looked like it would become larf during flowering.
This is the first time I have messed with changing the shape, cages, etc. I have always tied stuff down, usually out of necessity to make things fit, but that's about it.
My wife spent her time pulling new stems through the cages among other farmer chores, helped transplant the last pot, etc.
The trunk and roots of the blueberry looked stout enough but she had obviously been root bound while in her first small pot.
Well, off to look for a propane tank with fuel for bbq chicken? Hope your having great days!

Glad to hear you are being able to live your dreams. :) Looking like your plants are living a happy life also.

Hope you and the family are well. Stay Hydrated my friend

Thank you, Moto. Can you imagine how much the world has turned upside down on a guy that was a cop 50 years ago? He has lived out on this isolated spot for over forty years. I'm not sure he knows what used to be a big time felony is legal now. I know I still get the fuck freaked out when I hear choppers.

:) I know exactly what you mean.. It's a sad world we live in that we have to even get freaked out because of a chopper..

Just a plant.. LOL

This one always made me laugh.
Weed is not a drug its a plant meme

Compost Tea vs. top dressing. I enjoy making a compost tea for my young plants in their one gallon containers. I had intended on using compost tea throughout the grow. However, I currently use between 500-600 gallons of water every time I water, and making compost tea in quantity enough is overwhelming so I have opted to top dress with worm casts, fish meal and kelp, then each time I water, small amounts will soak down. I know it's not a brewed tea, but it should work over time.
All I want to add now is a top dress of bone meal in time to aid during flowering. Then I am ready to add a mulch layer over the holes and smell the flowers!
