Ordered some exotic genetix cookies & cream off the bay today. I've wanted to snag a pack of these for a while before they don't exist anymore.

First time supporting the site. I gotta tell you I'm nervous ordering seeds. I hope everything goes well. Because if they get confiscated it will have been an expensive experience lol.

This is a great forum that deserves to be supported :).

I've been growing indoors for the last 6-7 years and it seems like I'm always learning something. I don't think it ever ends either.

Looking good in here!

Thanks guys for the kind words.

I do agree in life there is always something to learn.

Gotta keep an open mind to new ideas or else we get left behind.

I don't wanna get left behind!
I wanna catch up then hang up top with everybody else :)

Today's update.

20160731 202300

They are now 10" tall after first night of 12/12. The flowering timing was perfect.

I also noticed both the big bagseed are showing female pre-flowers. Which is great because I wanted 2-3 females minimum this round.

The SDXQ#3 has what looks to be 2 male micro pre flowers down low but nowhere else. I will wait to see a little longer if it is male or herm. If it is male I'd like to collect some pollen because it's structure is great. It has huge branches equal to its trunk, and has a great smell. It would make for a great sperm donor.

The other 2 SDXQ have yet to show sex.

Based on last round I won't make assumptions just yet about sex. Because there may be herms in there yet to be seen.

So far so good.

I see a few more male micro pre flowers on the SDXQ#3.

so what I am going to do is after work. I will run to costco and pick up a cheap set of 2700k led bulbs, one or two bulb reflector's, and a Cheapo timer that accommodates 2 outlet plugs.

Then I'm going to get a box cut to size that has walls that extend high enough to contain the plant during stretch/flower. Then I will paint the box interior with white paint for reflectivity. As well as creating a smooth surface I can sweep the pollen up off of easily.

I will clip the light reflector's to the top of the box. Then stick this all in my furnace closet.

My plan is to create a place to house a male for pollen collection far far away from my ladies.

I'm really loving the SDXQ#3 structure. Along with the big thick branches, leaves and smell. I wish to use it and make some crosses in the near future on some small clones.

Or I will use it on future phenotypes that I find that I enjoy.

Any opinions guys?

Things are getting crazy. They are stretching at different rates (tallest is "11, smallest is "8). So after these pics I placed objects under the smaller ones to bring their canopy more level with the rest.

I made my male isolation chamber last night. I'll show more pic's after work.

Tallest is 12".
Still waiting on the 3 SDXQ to show sex. I want to make sure #3 is a male before putting it in my isolation chamber.

The only thing I just recently considered is the stank the male is gonna putt off will be unfiltered to the outside.

This isn't the greatest idea. Will the male wreak? If so I could flower the mini clone for reduced smell. I have time to figure it out. Just don't want to get caught :/

Thanks for popping in and taking time to read through. I post a lot lol.

This whole adventure is still new to me even though I'm on round 2.
These random bagseed keep me on my toes.

It's nice being part of a community. And I just wanted to make sure to contribute.

I like the detailed posts, I pop on here a lot in my free moments. I'm gonna be running a similar grow as you but in a 4x4. I ordered some good genetics but I'm popping the generic freebies I got first( same idea as your bagseed but less chance for something good lol). I love it here as well because I'm alone in my efforts so this is my support system

Me and you seem to be on similar paths. The vacations, the wife's, doing these things in solitary, small tents, lower level genetix etc. I'll make sure to keep an eye out for your grow when you get started.

Just an opinion/recommendation. If you get the chance to score some exotic genetix seeds. You won't be disappointed at all. Everything he puts out is crazy good. I'm holding them for later lol.

Very similar paths. I actually laughed a few times. I also work myself to death on the afternoon shift. I'll check out those genetix beans for sure. I've been wanting to support the farm for awhile but all my loose funds have been going into building my grow space and equipment costs. Hoping after we get back I can grab some beans of the bay.

Today's update.

20160803 204650

20160803 204520

20160803 204444

I decided to line then up for pics outside the tent today. I wanted a sort of panoramic shot.

After each feeding I have 8oz leftover.
So after last feeding of nutes I added 1 gallon of water and some molasses. This is to use the existing bacteria to repopulate the jug.

I go now feed, water, feed etc. So this is the "water" because I add no nutes it's just microbes & sugar to feed the microbes. I did add 1tbsp of earth juice bloom this time only. This is to help with the transition into flower.

Now that my jug is almost empty.
I will use that remaining liquid and use it to repopulate the next jug forever and ever. But this next fill up is nutes. Gotta get them nutes bubbling ahead of time to get the ph up.

None of the SDXQ have shown their sex yet I'm still waiting.

Once done, back in the tent.

I know this thread is a journal documenting my Hunt through random bagseed phenotypes.

But since it is my journal I feel it is also an outlet for other odds and ends I do in real life as well as thoughts on things.

So today I had the day off to send my car in to get a safety+emissions inspection in this dumb state. I work on my own cars and I have to pay a guy money to tell me it's in perfect shape mechanically duh!!

And the only appointment I could get was during a workday (drop off early in the morning, pick up evening).

So not only do I pay them money to tell me what I already know. I lose $416 in a days wages. Jeeze hitting me twice ouch!!

So since I had this day off I ran my errands cleaned the house etc. Then realized I had time to install my TRD car parts.

Did I mention the dealership wanted $300 for installation for this rear swaybar and front strut brace what!?

The rear swaybar has 2 bolts. And the strut brace has 4 lmao! I told them 1hr of shop time was fair. They refused so I took it home and did it myself in 45 minutes with a manual jack, jack stands, and manual hand tools.

If they are a dealership with their slew of tools maybe .5hrs for them.
They lost out on business.

Here is the trd swaybar by the oem swaybar for comparison.

Here it is installed.
20160804 181533

Hardest part was untightening the 180ft lb stock bar bolts by herculean strength lol. I had to brace myself between the wheels.

Luckily the specs on the trd said to retorque to 144 ft lbs.

And here is the upper front strut brace.

It was Rush hour the way home so I only got to take a couple good winding road turns that I'm familiar with. And I'm quite pleased at the change so far. In time I'll form a more accurate opinion.

They are growing fast. 2 of them are already at 15".

Hercules is in the front left of the lower pic. I'm pretty sure it's a male but @jumpincactus suggests I wait just a Lil longer.

The clones are doing great.
20160804 211104

Big bagseed #1 got so tall and pot was filled with roots so I topper her for mainlining after transplanting. Then stuck the cutting in the cloner. She had a hollow stem which I hear can be indicative of a higher potency strain.

I needed a bigger pot for them that didn't raise the height since they are in the lower chamber. So I took some flimsy 1 gallon throw away pots I never planned on using and cut then to match the height of the 4" pots. It tripled the soil volume while retaining the low height.

As soon as big bagseed#2 is tall enough I will top it and clone it's cuttings as well.

The SDXQ#3 clone came back to life and is generating new vegetation. Even if it's a male I'll be sure to get its pollen someday.

Busy day brotha! I've been off for a week (plant shutdown) and have one week left. Been framing the walls for my grow area. Drywall next few days. I'm hoping to get most of the work done while I'm off as free time is at a premium when I'm working. I'm surprised that clone made it and is looking good. Fingers crossed that you have a room full of frosty ladies in the near future!

Glad to hear to have some time off to do some work outside of work.

Time is hard to come by when working that's for damn sure!

I used my 1 extra day off for my car stuff lol.

And for the SDXQ#3 clone I'm super surprised it made it. It had maybe 1 square millimeter of top leaf area towards the end. And it stopped wilting, stalled for a week and is starting to catch up. What a will to survive it had! I was rooting for it the whole time.

The SDXQ#1 clone Wizzled up and died day 1 in soil. Seems I have more to learn about cloning yet.

I have one clone left ready to transplant.
The SDXQ#2. It has many roots. So this time I added grow nutrients to the water to help it suck up new nutes for growing outside the bubbler. Hopefully it helps, we will see.
