That might work too. I've noticed that when cloning in soil or rapid rooter it's good to le the medium dry a little if it's always wet the stem turn brown and dies and they have to be kept somewhere where kinda shady too much light kills them. Then again some strains are just easier to clone then others I have a blue tare that took 2 weeks for roots to appear then I have a space monkey that had roots in 1 week same method done to both.
I keep mine a few inches away from my lights. It's been a few days right now, so there are no roots yet.

You should keep them further away and make sure light can't get through the containers roots don't like light.

I'm actually trying to find a nice spot to put the clone by itself on 24/0 so I can flower the mother. I'm worried I won't have enough room. The 3 gal pot takes up more space than I thought it would.

I would give them an 18/6 cycle they will root faster and save a little money on the electricity bill

Yeah true. You're right. It's been about a week for my clone, and nothing yet. I'm just using water so I know it'll be atleast another week before it roots. I'm just so impatient, I want to flower my plant now.

Yea I know what you mean waiting sucks I have some prayer tower that has about three more weeks to go which isn't really that long but its gonna feel like forever

Damn. the closer to the time, the longer it'll feel Haha. I think I'm going to switch it sometime next week. I can keep my clone on my window sill so it'll still get enough light. I posted to another site asking for smell control help, but I got more hate than help because I am still living with my parents and they do not approve of pot. I asked what could help with the smell and all I got was "respect your parents" and all that stuff. No one really actually helped. But I am thinking of using total home absorbing gel and some incense to hide them smell. Do you think that'll be ok? I got friends who grow legally in Colorado and they say it's a super strong smell (this is my first successful grow so far). One friend said incense alone would work, now I don't believe that because incense barely work when I'm grinding my weed haha. Any advice on how to get rid of the smell? I can't get a CF btw.

Well sorry to be honest they can stink I wouldn't suggest doing anything without it put it outside or something but don't grow in your parents they
are giving you a place to live so respect them or move out on your own then you can do what you want

Yeah I do get that.. But I have depression. My parents don't believe in that. My mom thinks I'm looking for attention, my dad just ignores it and hopes it goes away. Pot really does help with it. I feel super happy when I'm high. I don't feel any of the stress, I don't feel suicidal (I used to go to see a therapist until my mom said he was shit because he said I was depressed because of her). I hate paying so much for it too. I would rather grow my own. If my dad wasn't so anti cannabis, I would tell him about it and offer to pay for all the extra costs. But sadly he hates pot, and he doesn't really pay attention to me. So it's easy to grow. Just the smell might give it away. He would just kill the plant, but I did spend some $$ on my set up, so I would rather not get caught with the smell. Keeping it under 2' so hopefully it won't smell as much as a huge grow. Also using cfls so the heat isn't as bad as a hid light, so the smell won't be as bad as it would be with a grow using those lights.
