Great write up. Pretty close to how I do it here.

One difference I see in our approaches is that I stopped mixing in my bags and do all my agitation in a separate bucket...then simply pour the mix into the bucket lined with the bags.

Something else that I do that I think is a good move is to go to Homo Depot and buy..in the paint section...paint strainer bags. These are close in mesh size to the 220 bag.... so I layer that bag right on top of all of the other bags and pour the trich-laden liquid mix from the work bucket right into it. These bags come in a 2 pack for about $5.....or you can order them in larger quantities online.

The BudBogarts are gonna love it. Nothing beats the bubble, IMO....

best of luck to all
Great tips! Thank you.

It's the showing of finishing of the plants bud cycle and should be expected .
You want your plant to eat it's leaves at the end of your grow like that . Just make sure you get rid of the unhealthy ones as your plants have plenty of leaf to finsih with . If the leaves are older and dying , get rid of them so all your growth goes to yeild and healthy leaves , rather than old leaves the plant has used up already .
My grow at the end , you've seen the color or my leaves towards the end near harvest time , even after giving my plants Nitrogen to the end , guano and worm castings , still ate their leaves - yellowed at finish time .
It's a good thing and is for flavor reasons I let my plants eat their leaves , as long as it's this far along in stage in budding . Otherwise it would be due to nutrients loss and fixed with guano added . Nitrogen issue .
It's normal for your plant to do this . Just keep the plants clean of old decaying leaves , so you don't get any rot on your nice buds .
I had a friend who had a perfect grow but let everything get old leaf wise , die, then mold set into the leaves , then his buds before he finally harvested and lost most of his crop.
I didn't say anything to him about the way he grew until later, as it was none of my business , until he asked me to help save his crop . Then I told him what the problem was , but it was to late for most of his crop . He told me next time to tell him but I make a point of NOT telling people how to grow, only sharing what I've learned from my own mistakes . He's not good at listening to others . Now he listens but it's to late for that grow .
Get rid of the old leaves would be my adivce . Looking great !
From what I see with our weather , we'll have a early winter , but our weather can't seem to make up it's mind :) So you never know , but the plant above is finsihing out nicely and you can always keep your eye on the weather and wait as long as you can before you harvest . You'll know when that is in your area . Can't wait to see your harvested buds :)
Great tips to save a lot of grief!

Thank you. That is a great job! Is your barrow much bigger than the one on the video, or how much do you think would run in the size on the video?

View attachment 635963 View attachment 635964 View attachment 635965 View attachment 635966 The hanging time before dry was only 5 days before the stems snapped. We need to extend that time. Do we add a humidifier? Having the ceiling full of wet buds will help slightly and a couple of more weeks and the weather is sure to be cooler with more moisture and that should help. The downside is I heat with wood which dries the air. A towel under the door to the drying room might help very slightly.

You can use a humidifier if you have super low humidity issues. Just keep an eye out for mold and generally I have a small fan in the area oscillating. :)

Hope this helps

Here are some pictures taken with my iphone instead of the ipad. Maybe the quality will be better.
The weather has been warm at night again. We need some cold to bring out the blues. A few of the plants are looking pretty good. A few others are still all white pistils in need of some trichome development.

Great words from your neighbor on planting time. Here in Colorado, Mothers day is like a standard for outdoor planting. I want to say that I hate perlite outdoors period for any type of garden. It keeps the soil very loose and dries out too fast in the sun. But I have half of the daily relative humidity you have. I like to let the soil compact and stabilize. Then periodically hand turn the soil as needed to hold moisture. I think that topping sounds like a winner!:)
Same here in so cal may 8 no more snowing cold nights here are about 50 degrees
I know im posting to past post all good

Thanks GG. I have a 12 x 14 foot bedroom with 26 total lines running 12 feet each spaced 6 inches apart. I have the window covered with a tarp. There is no humidity control except to shut the door against the dryness of a wood burning stove (when cold enough to need one.) the current humidity has been running at 50 percent, I expect it will go up as the weather cools. I am right at 3000 foot elevation.

Yesterday finished prepping holes with reforking, removed six shovelfuls from the hole, mix it with homemade forest compost, aged homemade bio char, chicken, steer and worm, Gardners and Bloome 8-4-2 organic granulates and a bit of blood meal. Leveled the hole and then spread this approx 3 inches of top mulch back over holes to start leaching into grow holes. Oh, and I added azomite to the mix as well.
Some beautiful worms in the soil. As committed as I am to these holes, I do love dangling worms, lol. It's like the devil on one shoulder, etc.

Thank you so much for taking the time to see what our grow experience has been like. It really means a lot, thanks. Being a pot farmer can be a lonesome endeavor. Finding people who I can actually share with...priceless.
Sorry i missed the adventure, with work & garden I've been a little busy! Your trees are lookin amazing brother, i wanna plant in ground but my backyard soil is like concrete maybe I'll dig 1 hole this winter
