Army Blankets as fabric for DIY smart pots?

I don't know brother. Maybe it's a good alternative. Maybe he could find the material and make them himself. Might save a few bucks in exchange for labor. I just wouldn't go very big. 7-10 gallons max.

Never tried it but I lived on a sheep farm for a few years. We would use unsaleable wool for mulch and as a Nitrogen plant boost as it decayed in the soil. It did not last the summer. I think you need something with rot resistance built-in. A cheap source of wool pots might be XXL sweaters from the Salvation Army on 50% off days.

I don't know about the Army blankets...
Although I worked at a greenhouse when i was younger. We used pieces from a roll of weed mat and wrap the root balls of trees and bushes. It was rough but worked out very well! If you can sew you could take the roughness of it!
