Tonight is my night to trim guys.
The humidity is like %20 in my house.
The ladies have been drying fast.

I need to trim them and get them in jars to save the moisture left.

I'm taking 1 big dab after each plant is done.
I'm gonna be pretty good at the end I think.
Just bending over trimming is rough on the back.

The tent is listed as a 24"W×18L"×24T.
But the actual outside dimensions were 24"W×16"L×24"T.

With the 8 bulb t5 ho fixture it takes up 4" of vertical height and 12"W×23"L.
View attachment 654754
The carbon filter is 4" flange ×8 wide. If if we're standing vertical that is 6.5"T
View attachment 654753
The actual floor space inside the tent between the structure is 23W"×15"L. And I have 18" of total vertical height from the ground to the t5 fixture.

The next tent sizes were too big for my closet. And too big to focus my t5 ho 8 bulb fixture. So this micro is perfect for my space. Exactly what I wanted.
Last shot at this issue after this I'm all done lol from the look of the closet it's in it will fit the 75x75x130 and just put the fan and filter complete in side of your tent and I see u mention u have spoke to guys about these fans and using them at certain temps but I've been running fans on the inside of tents for over a decade with no problem in fact the 1s I get couldn't be used any other way because they have speed and temp control built in :) now if this still isn't the answer then maybe Dr who needs a visit and finding out the deal with the tardis and just in case u don't know who this Dr who is or a tardis the tardis is a phone box on the outside that is the size of a house in side lol :) but tbh bro I think we have used all viable solutions and if none of these are the way then I guess your stuck with what u got

I'm pretty happy with it as is. Now that I can fit two 3 gallon pots in there I'm good.

I do appreciate the advice.
It's nice to have opinions from different angles.

Ok bro, now I can see you are stirring the shit pot. LOL. You said that cause you knew I would see it and react :)

Them frikkn plants were horrendous!!!! I owe you one fokker!!!! :p
Hahaha, yea they were pretty bad. He was trying to bless me with a bag of those elite genetics but I just couldn't bring myself to accept such a generous gift  On a side note I've read that wos crosses their landrace strains with similar strains. They call it "stabilization" so its actually not really a landrace anymore but a hybrid.

Finished my harvest. Looks much bigger than my last grow.

SDXQ #2. Buds in the left jar. Tops only in the right jar (left the stems on so they would dry slower & so I could pick them out easily). Call it lollipop-ing:)

Big Bagseed #2. Nugs left, tops right.

Big Bagseed #1 8 topper. Nugs left, tops right.

Even though it only had 4 main cola's look at all the tops it made.

Here is the jar of trim. Now that I'm making oil I made sure to go heavier on my trim jobs.
That's why it took so long. All my larf and wierd fluffy little buds went in there with sugar leaves, fan leaves and a little stems. All from getting these cola's show ready .
20161224 070848

Last but not least the leftover manifolds.
20161224 070827

All trunks and all main branches had fat holes in the center.
Some say that's a sign of high potency strain.

All in all they all looked and smelled beautiful.
I got what looks to be a very similar amounts when comparing yields of each plant.
Seems I need to up my game to 3 gallon pots next time I have 4 in the tent.
I won't weigh until after dried & cured. I try to minimize handling.

I'm very happy this round.
Harvested on Christmas eve.
Happy holidays peeps.

I think hollow stems are just based on the strain. A friend of mine had a party once right after a harvest and used the hollow stems for drinking straws.:)
Great looking holiday harvest you have there. I cut a plant last Sunday and jarred her up this morning and will take another one tomorrow morning. Merry Christmas to you and your family rmoltis!:)

Thanks @Orcaman . Same to you.
This will be our least stressful holiday ever.
Just me and the wife at home to relax.

It will be great!

The beast in training (#2)

Retraining ties every day.

Here is it after its training.
20161224 211513
20161224 211456

It was shifted to the freshly opened up flowering chamber under the MH.
It gets to sit front and center right under the most focused portion of the light.

This thing is getting out of control.
I'm amazed at all the new shoots forming everywhere getting ready to fill in the core.

I'm hoping that once I get her in the 10 gallon pot. That I can get enough tops to tie 1 to every pipe cleaner tie down hole I drilled in the pot for training (32 tops).

Once I get all 32 slots filled then I'll let the core fill in with cola's.

The goal is to keep all new tops the same height so one doesn't become dominant. You want them all to share dominance.

Every grow I get better and better.
I'm planning for this to be better than last round. Learning is great.

Lemme show yall how to scrog without the net!

Here is the #3 in the micro tent by herself. Ready to spread out a wide flat canopy to soak up all the rays of the T5 HO fixture.
20161224 215112
20161224 215125

After retraining today I got 15 tops tied down now. Many more are filling in the core too. The canopy of leaves is so dense you can't see the 20-30 new tips sprouting everywhere.

Pure chaos I say! :borg:

I will transplant into a 3 gal pot as soon as I see more roots at the drain holes. I just started seeing some today.

Decided to transplant #3 onto a 3 gallon pot.

Untied all Ties. Then removed from pot to take a root shot. Sorry it was blurry. If you look at the bottom right of the photo. You'll notice soil crumbles falling. The top was falling apart middle photo. So I dropped the cam and dropped the plant into its new home lol. Saved the day just in time.
20161224 230614

But you can see the roots are white and good. Ready for that bigger pot.

I didn't center it perfectly but oh well. Retrained best I could.

It has 18 tops tied down as of now sprouting many more as we speak.

When u transplant do u use any root stym or anything or just a straight re pot ?

Straight re-pot into my organic recycled organic living soil.
Which I regularly blend up old food scraps and add to it. Along with recycling old rootball from old plants. And in that soil I mix in microbes & mychorizae to help the soil cook.

So I think the soil is just fertile as hell.

do you use Bokashi on your food scraps, if not may be look in to it bro

I take all food scraps. Run em through the blender until a liquid mix. Then I add to my ROLS.

I personally believe breaking it down aids it's ability to be broken down quicker by the microbes. I can't wait for solid scraps to decompose fully. That would be too slow.

Here's a current pic of my ROLS.

Nice and even with no large non decomposed parts.

I add eggs shells, lemon rinds, banana peels, old kale, misc asparagus pieces, and random other food items.

hollow stems are ok, dont worry too much, as branches age, or our plants are stressed, the ability to carry nutrients reduces and the stems thicken usually. Hollow stems can be seen as a sign of a good plant, healthy with limited stress. usually branches with problems go soft, even slimy to touch, so long as your plant have turgor, you are fine. Problems can arise as buds get heavy and young branches can snap, so supporting them is a good option. So long as your plant has access to adequate structural elements, and most basic nutes will deliver these and certainly most soil will have them in the locker, no one should worry about hollow stems. ;-)
There are lots of things we worry about as growers, but look honestly at your plants. Be still and observe fully. Red Stems, Hollow Stems, none of these are determined problems. If your plant is growing, putting on weight, its fine, dont worry, if the leaves are falling off, if the media is cold and damp, smells like an egg fart, or a sharp pickle, if your roots are slimy, your branches and stems soft, then worry.
Plants are like people, even when we group those of us with blue eyes together, there is still vast variation. Some plants will have a thicker stem, this is usually adaptation relating to environment. most hybrids, never having seen a truly bad days weather, dont have these same characters in form as they are not required. Revel in the differences of your plants, learn to listen to them and they will reward you, hollow red stems and yellow leaves, or not. :-)

Life in its base form is perfect, there is no need to pursue it when we are a part of that :-)

I tend to bokashi my food waste, this speeds the process of conversion up and adds lots of good pro bio bac types. Once bokashi'd i move to my worms bins where its converted to humus, ewc and liquor
