Looking good my man!!! 8)

If you had an environment that needed a humidity dome (or ziplock) would you take it off after the cotyledons break ground?

I don't usually use any humidity dome style things.
My home humidity is between %20-%30 in home.
My understanding is that they adapt to the climate they're born into.

So I like them to get accustomed as early as possible during the adaptation phase of their development to the Environment they will live. When we try to hard to fit the temp and humidity. It just ends up costing more energy & money. Just let them adapt to your home environment.

In a dry environment the plants draw more soil moisture up the roots, up the stems and transpired out the leave for cooling. So Just ensure their soil never dries out too much and your plants will do well.

Just need a little more k and possibly mg but thats more for hydro guys to worry about we arent bottle feeding our plants the microbes are =)

Today's update on The Beast.

I did a massive defoliation.
The canopy was too dense and new growth tips were being shaded, stunting their growth.

Now she's been opened up good.

20161228 164638

She is healthy and I expect all the shoots in the core to start developing into main branches.

She is still drying out from the initial wetting of the 10 gallon pot. The top is dry but I can see the bottom is moist. I want the first drying cycle to be thorough. To encourage the roots to search for water.

The micro tent also had a defoliation occur today. Here are the results.

I noticed the dense canopy had condensation forming between fan leaves.

So in an effort to avoid mold and pm. I did a good defoliation.

It was guttation in the sense that the bottom leave was transpiring. Yet the leaves above covering it from air and light exposure. Kept the water from ever evaporating off the leaf.
Nice, Hey what kind of air movement are you getting under her skirt/canopy so to speak? With the amount of veg your going to do be sure to have some air movement that will evacuate some of the dead zone under her panties........ Just a suggestion. My question was spawned from the condensation/guttation your having. I do understand you just did a hvy defol, just thinking out loud, if it continues even after the the clearing you did, you might want to step up your air circ underneath. peace

I never get notifications for this thread. Damn it!

Lookin good man! Congrats on the harvest I want to see some dry nug shots when it's cured up

Just did a big defoliation myself, looking good bro. That bagseed is full of pistols! They all look quality, well done

How's the potency on your bag seed plants?

I don't have any lab tests or anything.

The SDXQ #2 looks, tastes and feels most potent.
Gives me a nice head buzz going.

But the bagseed family (1&2) also follow close behind. They did not let me down. The bud structure is fluffy compared to the SDXQ with the dense nuggets.

The question was are the bagseed plants potent?
Yes they are. Being bagseed though I probably hit their potency ceiling.

I just woke up around 4am went to bed at 10. I've been going to bed earlier and waking up earlier.
I'm trying to fix my sleep schedule.

But I loaded a 1 hitter (.25-.30g) of Big Bagseed#1 in my bong.
Killed it in 1 hit. Is smooth, could hold it in. But still has a light chlorophyll taste. It was dry enough to cherry up quickly with a lighter. But is still in the burping process. I know it's got a reasonable potency because after a hit that size there was a light feeling in my lungs akin to the feeling after you hold in a nice dab.

I got a light amount of jitters. Like what you'd get after drinking a cup of coffee (if you were a lightweight). Then I started to sweat a lot lol.

Turns out it must be more of an upper.

My body became very active yet my head was not speeding over a cliff it is clear. If anything this sweating makes me think I'm hot. But with this fan on me I'm too cold lol. The high seems to last a long time too.

I'm happy I got a chance to run those bagseed plants a second time. It gave me a chance to learn them a little better. And it turns out they were a nice find.
I'm digging the million little red hairs too.

So pictures of The Beast.
Don't show off the structure well.
This is because much foliage is in the way of the details.

So I mapped out the branching by hand on paper to give you an idea of what it looks like.
Here is the main branching (basic structure)
20161229 072416

The pot is 16" wide. So just think that from the center of the pot out to the pot edge. Each quadrant is 8" out. Meaning if the plant were grown vertically it would be 8" tall by now.

Not to mention all the new shoots branching off everywhere creating new branching to fill in the core.
Looks something like this (crude idea)

At the pot perimeter I am allowing the main branches to upturn and grow tall. Some of those bigger new growth tips have been secured to the edge of the pot like the main structure. But most will grow straight up from here on out.
