How are you measuring the temperature if you don't mind me asking. I missed it

i have the temp right. i did the 20 mins.. so i dunno.

i have the pan thing figure out i ju8st have to move it around till you find the right s pot.

i also have the digital thermometer like you.. i guess i will just put it the container and see what happens.. as i am not gonna get bubbles unless i boil it. LOL

Also the bubbles are literally co2 rising to the surface from the THCa turning to THC... you're not vaporizing/boiling off THC until you hit 315F...

i did 250 for 20 mins.

so i should just keep stirring at 250-230 is where i have the tempt set at right now.

and temp is st able at 230-235 with out moving the pan.. so i found a sweet spot.

Perfect yeah. I'd keep stirring occasionally until the tiny bubbles mostly stop. Unless you hit 315F you're not boiling off THC but you start converting THC to CBN faster than you convert THCa to THC, so the ratio swings toward CBN resulting in more Stoney sleepy high all else being equal.

yeah, also it apears they are forming more now.. or maybe i stirred harder. but lots of little bubbles when stir.

so im just stiring, waiting for bubbles to pop.. repeat. i figure when i get down to zero bubbles this way i will stop.

Once your stuff stops bubbling take it off the burner. All there directions are spot on

Here is the result of my purge.
First time I took it off it was too liquid. Meaning it needed to be purged longer. Put it on hot water back on low and let sit for 15 mins.

Took it off and when it cooled it was a consistency of shatter mixed with very fine grit micro sand. More of a clay consistency

Input was 14.57g
yield was 3.11g
Return was%21.34

Here is a pic in the light, it looks dark

but with a light shining through it you can see the amber.

I'm pretty happy. It's got a very fruity terpene profile from the big bagseed #2. I'll try it and report back later

LOL I've spent up to 2 hrs making good butter. It's a slow process that's very worth it.

well my leg is not gonna make it.. im gonna pull through and torcher my self and do 1 hour more.. if its not done by then so be it.. leg cant handle this standing stuff for long periods at a stove. laughs. thanks for the help.. at least i will have something better than i would off. no clue if im doing this right.. but its a learning experience so what the hell.
