Having been in the fortunate position of not having to shell out for the led's I have , I think I can say that I am impressed with there perfomance so far - I did a fair bit of reading before choosing the bud master god - the build quality and attention to details such as humidity protection, heatsink attachment ,spectrum range seem to have been thought about and designed into the final product, led lights are a minefield and I think you can get ripped off very easily, I used someone elses money to experiment with, having the back up of my nomal hps lights to fall back on if I'd made a bad choice , My first impressions were good as I had the seedlings under just the led's _ I had a mix of led and hps for flowering and all was going well till a security scare.
The next crop are looking good and are under led lights only, the proof is in the pudding and only when all is cut and dried will I be able to make a truly honest assessment of the led's worth.
One factor that will take longer is the number of years they work without light output diminishing , as that was one of the factors that I liked , not having to shell out for new lamps every other crop, and not having to worry about one or two diodes failing and ruining the whole crop.
I looked into buying the same quality of leds and building them myself but was concerned about the heatsink issue , I'm not concerned with that with the lights I have.
