I know how to calculate bills from kwh prices, but would you guys say it really stands out as a high bill with a single 600w HPS setup? Light, ballast, fans x2, maybe a dehumidifier bit probably not needed in my case. Led lights 18/6 for veg. Probably real draw is 150-200w

i would say if its high-ish and stays high-ish it will be fine.. think they are going to notice spikes more than a constant...

Especially if it lasts for three or so months at a time...

Anyone actually hear of anyone getting busted cos of their electric bill? I'm talking UK here. It's not industrial, secret jardin dr120 with one 600w hps, couple of fans, few other electric odds and sods. Tried LED all the way through but not worth it in my opinion. Unless you're spending £1200ish on a refurbished solar storm or something.

No need to spend all the big money on the leds. If you're at least a bit handy you can put one together yourself for a fracture of the cost. Check this thread and you'll understand better what I'm talking about.

Less power, same yield and quality.

Growmau5e on youtube also has diy vids....doesnt look that bad to build tbf...worth a look!

The near daylight spectrum of leds using cree chips as i understand it (not the pink ones) looks very good...

Ive never really liked the orange glow....

I'll get on it. He offered it me last week and I said no as I'm totally full but it's one I'm very curious about too. He says it's special.
Aye bubbas a great strain.as I already said if u could get a fast vegging bubba you'd b set for your ultimate keeper.those big 10lb plants u see the yanks do outside on Jorge Cervantes utube channel?theyr blue dream and theyr huge but if you had a bubba kush that was the same size it would probably weigh twice as much if not more.the nugs are just soooooo dense.
"all whom have space to grow should have a bubba on the go."
well it's not something I would grow if making cash out my grows was my only concern.sog-lots of small cuts packed close together vegged a few weeks and flipped is probably the best way to grow bubba although iv never done that.just grew the odd bubba Dom plants.@limonene on o bodhis favourite strains is a bubba cross.not katsu but original bubba.

Having been in the fortunate position of not having to shell out for the led's I have , I think I can say that I am impressed with there perfomance so far - I did a fair bit of reading before choosing the bud master god - the build quality and attention to details such as humidity protection, heatsink attachment ,spectrum range seem to have been thought about and designed into the final product, led lights are a minefield and I think you can get ripped off very easily, I used someone elses money to experiment with, having the back up of my nomal hps lights to fall back on if I'd made a bad choice , My first impressions were good as I had the seedlings under just the led's _ I had a mix of led and hps for flowering and all was going well till a security scare.
The next crop are looking good and are under led lights only, the proof is in the pudding and only when all is cut and dried will I be able to make a truly honest assessment of the led's worth.
One factor that will take longer is the number of years they work without light output diminishing , as that was one of the factors that I liked , not having to shell out for new lamps every other crop, and not having to worry about one or two diodes failing and ruining the whole crop.
I looked into buying the same quality of leds and building them myself but was concerned about the heatsink issue , I'm not concerned with that with the lights I have.

No point in making these things imho unless u have far too much time on your hands or unless u plan on making and selling custom units out of all the led bud master do look decent and the 1s we had in spain the build quality was real nice but like u said the proof is in the pudding u better get ready for a name change

And even then iv never seen stealing leaky as the cause of being busted.every single time iv seen someone who grows get busted it's coz people know they grow.one o the guys I'm talking about had a cracking space, loadsa lights n shit.you could tell they didn't skimp on the equipment but you could tell they didn't have a clue.they had about a 12x15 feet room with six lights and like 4 plants.shite ones.i tried to explain they weren't gonna get much out theyr plants growing that way and I tried to giv em some tips-one of which was don't tell a soul.it went in one ear and straight out the other.a total waste of time

These smart meters worry me mate they can see the spikes and the exact time they happen we lost the Spanish farm through the same reason my best advice if u see 1 of these is avoid it and look for a new spot there untouchable soon as u do anything with em they know immediately so can't even get around em unless your guna work live and that defo ain't for amateurs
