I'm intrigued by the cmh, I'm thinking of mixing them in with my 2 1000w hps. Right now in thinking 2 630 cmh and my 2 1000w hps. I'm planning on being in this space for awhile though. Gotta recover some cost first and then I can move forward.

The 630 is supposed to be able to handle 3/4 the job of a 1000 se hps. So it can just be used to add space to grow. But I keep seeing grows with the 315 and a 1000. Or more often now a de 1000 right over the same tables for a better spectrum and ultimately more potency without switching out bulbs.

I have noticed the frostiest most vigorous plants every time I go in my flower room are right in the hps cmh overlap spot.

I want to try veg with the 4200 k version. Then flower with the 2 lamps overlapping. I think for my space and ceiling height this is the way to quality and yield.

Until I trust and can afford the horticulture leds bound to be more available and affordable soon. And likely with better uv. Maybe switchable.

I am really high on a salad of G-13/Skunk and Blue Dream. Blasted!

Ah I see, the horti blues are more then twice the cost of the eye but have a better spectrum if your trying to maximize thc levels. And the ladies look better in pics lol

The Hortilux Blue is a very close to sunlight spectrum veg bulb primarily. The 400 watt mh is the best spectrum. But the 600 is really a conversion hps spec bulb that is still very good.

But I have gone back to the Super hps for flowering. Changing out with the blue coat me 20% yield and have fluffier leafier buds.

The cmh does not do this so much. The 3100k bulb I have flowers great. Just not a big area.

Note. I would choose more spaced out at 3' 315's for coverage and overlap before I would use a 630.

More points of light is better and cooler.

I'll look into them for a few runs from now. The biggest thing I learned is that its not my equipment limiting how good things turn out yet, it's me lol. Once I get things dialed in better I'll start getting better gear. I still have a pile of shit to buy as I'm sure you know how it goes. Always needing something. Might be worth it to make them look better in pics though! Hahaha

I am so anal about things like temp and humidity that if I see the temperature fluxuate in 10nths of a degree I make adjustments.

I have to see flat happy leaves sort of twinkling gently in the breeze.

I have gone insane.

Good point I've only ran it one harvest and noticed the kiefier bdsbud didn't take the time to figure the yield. To many different strains per tray.

It sure seems to add frost. But the cmh seems better at finishing too. It's close. The 600 watt blue covers a bigger footprint. So many pros and cons to consider.

Good thing we have many strains to ease our 1st world problems eh?

Haha, it would be nice to be running mixed spectrum de's but I don't have the head space for that. Next time I move that rill be on top of the list.:D

Haha would be nice but I can barely keep them short enough with regular bulbs:D

Here's something interesting for ya GrowGod.

I posted my light upgrades in a different forum. But one of the things the cmh does for my plants is keep them more compact.

The Blue Lemon Thai pheno below is a tall stretchy pain in the ass that keeps growing all over the place while making huge long lemony buds. I usually have 6 stakes and a roll of soft tie everywhere plus continued supercropping to get her to stay in the space and height of pretty much 2 normal hybrids by ripening.

But that was with 2 Hortilux Super Hps 600w bulbs.

Now I have added a 315 LEC and let her grow through transition under the new 3100k Phillips bulb.

She stopped stretching after 1 supercrop of only a few branches and a little training and started stacking buds during week 3 instead of week 4 like before.

They are finishing an average of a week to 10 days early if I use it for finishing. And they show more color.

But here is a few views of a pheno I know very well growing much more controlled and shorter under cmh.

I put her under the 600's to bud up as I always have more plants in rotation.

Very interesting! I need to do some more research on these. From your pics they do look very short squat yet beefy.
Do you use these in veg instead of a t5?

So far I am still using tents and t-5's. But I plant to use the 4200k LEC in a 4x4 area for veg in my next upgrade.

I used to use a 400blue mh when I grew the whole cycle in a tent. I think the cmh will give similar results. Faster. Bigger and thicker and likely bushier with more tops than just t-5

I actually use the flourescents to slow things down a bit in my system.

The brief info I read claims to be healthier stronger veg growth compared to the t5 and uses less electricity which makes me happy! It about time I do some upgrading in the veg room so I might try one out. I need to check what sizes they come in.
Bowls up! @ jipp where you at? 4/19 ya bo-e!
