i have found most clones to be vegged under 20 hours of light that you pick up from the dispensaries,if you put these out without matching the light schedule they will flower within 5 weeks.When they notice the days are getting longer they reveg and are not nearly as good as ones that have not went threw this.Most of us here in Cali try and match the Day light hours and put clones out mid to late may.

When you move a clone from 18 hours of light to 13 or 14 hours of light they start to flower and bypass the veg stage. They will eventually reveg but you have lost 4 to 6 weeks of veg time in the process. You can avoid this by shortening your light cycle by a half hour a week until it matches your areas length of day.for the most part i pop seed in april to avoid the hassle because they are sexually immature for the first 4 or 5 weeks strain dependent.

What? That would take me 8 weeks? Thats not happening! Well maybe i should add that these clones were already in flower. They were taken week 3 of flower. they are about 10 days old... maybe i should start them 16 hrs of light in veg...

Step 1 is what seems to throw a lot of people off. When you move a plant from a 24 or even a 18 hour light cycle outside, then drop down to a lower cycle, they can start to flower on you, which is no good. For example, we are at 14 hours of light right now where I am at, so when you go from 24 or 18 down to 14 all of a sudden it can cause the plant to think it is fall and begin to flower.

However, this is strain dependent. Some can go from 24 or 18 outside with no adjustment and no issues. However in my experience, many cannot. Generally strains that finish earlier are more finicky and are easier to trigger - later finishing strains tend to handle the transition more easily.

It actually is not the length of light that causes flowering, but the length of darkness - that is what you need to look at. Hence it is not the 14 hours of light that makes the plant possibly trigger, it is the 10 hours of darkness.

IMO it is kinda late in the season since it usually takes time to adjust them. Since your clones are at 24 hours of light right now I think your best bet would be to try an "interrupted light cycle." Basically you set your main light cycle at what ever the length of the days are when you aim to plant, and then interrupt the night cycle with two hours of light right in the middle. So for example, if you were shooting to plant now, at 14 hours, you would set your cycle to do 14 hours on, 4 hours off, 2 hours on, 4 hours off, or 14/4/2/4. This way when the plants go outside in the natural light cycle, their light cycle is always getting longer so they do not trigger.

Brother my holes are in the middle of a 20 acre patch of woods with a corn field about 1/4 mile away... I just meant i was very thrilled with the native soil there... I found a packet of briars prob 12 feet in dia, with some fallen trees, surrounding 3 sides of it, that are prob 10 foot tall.. Its awesome... It took me a few mins to figure out how to crawl in there, but i found away... I ordered 4 1/2 cu foot of ocean forest, and a foldable shovel, and some mycos... Im ready...

Just making sure haha. If he wasn't such a square I would put some trees in the corn field :shockedninja: you got MW wanting to try this. Maybe next year, I have enough going on lol. I should have put the few clones I culled out there lol

i know im pretty excited to do this,,,, esp when i found this area... Im close enough to the city that i dont have to worry about helicopters, so that just leaves mushroom hunters, and deer hunters.. which is why i picked inside of a briar patch.. surrounded by a couple fallen trees... You just couldnt design a better spot... I got very lucky finding this spot... well at least u get to see me do it first and i will give you the pitfalls and what was good that i found....

People do that with plants that they put out early to avoid them from flowering yours are already flowering. Reveged plants are weaker and more susceptible to bugs,Rot and tend to put out popcorn type of buds.You have plenty of time to put out unflowered clones or seeds and have a big strong crop.good luck

im not trying to put out more seeds... Im just doing this for shits and giggles... And to see what i can get... lol.... i dont plan to come look at these plants more than once a month... I think u may have misunderstood my investment.... And im fully confident my Urkles can handle the transition...

Can you run a 5 axix mill? I might be able to put you to work... But as for outdoor growing, i just took these clones to see if i could get them to root 3 weeks into flower... I was 6 for 6... And they are some damn good genetics so i was like,, instead of culling them, lets do the trailer park boys thang :)

Ive read about people boiling their roots before. I'm curious to see it in action.
