What got you in to ch9 seeds? They have some really nice looking plants. Looks like most come from motarebel stock.

I have a spliffs strawberry going now. Its strawberry cough x (skunk x Jack Herer) It has a strong sweet berry smell.

I found CH9 when looking for reasonably priced female seeds for one of my first photoperiod grows. I was noticing the they were in all the big seed banks then and had been since the early 2000's.

He had real history with the first indoor and outdoor Northern California medical hybrids and I contacted him.

He is one of the only breeders that took the time to answer my noob questions by email.

I was set on female seeds c99 at the time but really wanted to try Jack Herrer and CH9 had a good jack hybrid for the same level price so....

And he sent me some freebies and they were his top of the line fire at the time. Pow33. And it was the best tasting pot I had had so far and really had a full old school high from the 80's high.

Once I started sending him pictures of his plants grown with his help and he liked them we chatted a lot more and we are kind of pen pals by email.

Plus he got orders and green candy press liked one of my pics so he sent me free seeds from his personal stash and free seeds with my orders and all his stuff is super high quality.

A lot of his catalog is gone. He sells mostly bulk seed in Europe to large growers now. But he did just tell me he is going to do a huge project with his best genetics he has saved from around 2007 when he was booming.

I really like the Mota hybrids. The POW is his as well as the Lemon Thai and ECSD hybrids.

But I miss some older stuff like the herijuana Jack I just planted. I am happy they still germinate. Shows lasting quality. Was tap rooted in a day and out of the dirt the next.

The heri is Mota. But the Jack is actually a cubed sensei seed mix of the old pollen. Jack Herrer, hash plant, power plant and afghani. Or Mazar he said he switched to at some point.

The Jack. Flower. And some limited stuff like Blue Skunk I had was not as all powerful as the strains I have landed on. But were real close to the old outdoor California strains he was seeking to capture for our growrooms.

He is a weird dude but you can see I love the guy.

Here is an update on the Herijuana x Jack 33 I broke the top off of Supercropping a potassium deficient plant.

I can't remember if I posted here or jipps journal thread but here is the girl now. Growing into a nice sativa leaning hybrid. Real sativa leaning.

I looked them up after you mentioned them earlier. I wonder what connection he has to Mota or if he just liked his gear. Sounds like a good dude. Always nice when you can communicate with the breeder. He does have some really cool crosses, and it seems you're growing all of them lol.

I don't know how he knows Motarebel or Shantibaba.

His older catalog had other breeders over time too. Like Magus genetics Warlock. And samsara Yumbolt.

They were all listed on seedfinder and the like. If you are interested I have grown Vintage 2006 and its crosses too. Yumbolt x Vintage 06. Warlock x Vintage 06.

I have mixed female seeds he had that gave me phenos of aroma and tangerine.

And his plants Jack 33 and Flower and the indica leaning jack hybrid were great too. Just not as penetrating as motas ECSD and lemon Thai stuff.

I also just put a Black Widow x Blue Lemon Thai into flower.

The thing about his seeds is the phenos always lean very much to the original breeder but with a trippy uplifting edge even when it is a couch lock strain usually.

Like I get a lot of the sativa leaning phenos of black widow. And they are very hazy sometimes. One came out foxtail structure like pure haze. And had that classic taste and high too.

But I am growing other breeders work too. Me and my patients have grown to rely on his consistent seeds.

I have only seen nanners on diesel hybrids and a chocolate Thai pheno found in a Herijuana jack seed. And if picked they never came back and I have only seen a few stress seeds even on a 10 week or more chem dog leaning plant.

And it's always from over or under feeding tricky plants.

But the Deadhead OG I am curing is great weed too and grew fantastic with only a faster fade than I expected and it tastes and smells authentic.

The Stella blue Dream from S-1 is just delicious.

Classic headband sucked and grew shitty from a lame elite clone cross is my guess.

I just vegged a medical seeds sour diesel that had some seedling problems but will flower soon.

And I just tap rooted a Banshee Mist. Which a grower on a private forum I used to belong to crossed. It's Alien Dog x Cali Mist.

And my friend from there gave me a bunch more to try.

So I am open to new genetics. Just not at the expense of my reliable system. And I have not found much better pot yet.

I will be ordering and trying seeds from this place soon. I have my eye on some Bubba and maybe a purple.

And when I decide to go with regular seeds too. My options are endless. I still have to grow some Mota stash from the man himself for instance. And Ogiesel is calling me. Lol.

I've got Edam Bomb from Bomb seeds formally cheese bomb. Only reason I picked them as they have a purple colour to them. Assuming it's a U.K. Cheese pheno crossed with their own THC Bomb strain they look fantastic. Getting right into the purple varietys at present. :)

A grower I know grew massive thc bombs. Potent too. They grew 6' tall and maybe wide under 1000 watt hps. Arm sized colas. Whew. Too much plant for my little room.

Could be really tasty with the cheese.

That I'm really looking forward too. Cheese has been the one plant I've concentrated on over the 5-6 grows. Just suits me all round.
