time for a bit of karma!! my boss gave me some spare equipment that allowed me to start up growing again. because of unforeseen events after this he had to shut down his growroom. he has asked me about how I make oil as there is a family member of his that has suspected cancer,and she aint liking the morphine. and the weed making cough. am gonna make him some bho out of bin bag of shake on Monday. but said about medi mj incase she want to function sometimes. I only normally grow herb to get high or stoned myself but would make a space for a plant but am out of depth and need help choosing something. my spec is not known yet as biopsy today. didn't have time for research found out today. please help me put back into to society as it has helped me!

Cooking with it could be a possibility.get some butter and melt it down in a pot on your cooker-add your trim n shake and mix it in until it's all wet with melted butter and let it cook a bit-at how high a temp and for how long I dunno that's something youl have to look into yourself but once youv cooked it for the right time at right temp you pour it all through a strainer-a t shirt or something and squeeze out all the butter then put it into a dish and let it set.once set u can use it to make cakes,cookies or whatever needs butter.iv heard the high could be pretty intense if dose is slot so that's another thing you'd have to work out for a med patient-you don't want em zoned out more than the morphine.

You are getting some really good suggestions here.
What I would say is get them into tinctures or coconut oil infusions.
Both are relatively easy to do and there are some great tutorials out there. I used Skunk pharm to get me going, it has some good information by folks who know extracts.
Demon trich takes his shizz seriously and has been a great help to many of us too... big props to him btw!
The clients I provide for that utilize my tinctures ( everclear based or glycerine) seem to really benefit the most from a sativa dom version to get the best relief ( from a multitude of problems) with the least amount of euphoria. My Parkinson's gal swears by it. Another client with tremors says it's the only thing that allows him to psychologically deal with his day.
I have had morphine addicts use the indica tinctures to help kick their habits. The migraine and insomniacs seem to prefer the indicas...

A good dab makes me cough more than a spliff by miles so maybe best to stick with demon trichs suggestion of a tincture.im sure he would happily point you in the right direction since it's for a good cause.

Just wanted to drop this in, I went to Amsterdam last year with my son's godfather. He suffers with knee pain almost constantly after ruining his knee playing football/soccer. He commented on how much it helped the pain (albeit only for a couple hours) after I gave him a brownie I bought. Perhaps she would fare better with edibles? Oil can also be harsh to some, but who doesn't like brownies? Or perhaps a water cooled bong may help make the smoke less harsh. I know I'm just an amateur getting involved in a serious discussion, but I lost more than one person I deeply loved to cancer, and seeing them suffer while the cancer ate them down to the bone is something that will haunt me forever. So if there's even a small chance this comment may help, it was worth it. Hopefully your boss' Mrs will be ok though. And anyone else here who may have a loved one fighting cancer, or even fighting it yourself, I hope to the bottom of my heart that you make it through. If you can't make it, I wish you do not suffer as I have seen others. Not a religious man at all, life is short and you won't get the chance to regret not living it. The issue I find with using trim.for butter, is how do you know the % or potency of said and product? This is why I always strongly recommend using an extract. At least you can have a pretty good guess as to the potency of the end product.

From my strains and exp, these are my dosage rates per extract for 1 stick or 1/3rd cup veg oil for baking needs. Yield is 12/1 dozen. Approx 80-90mg per serving. Serving is 1 edible.
Distillate .5-.65g
Bho .8-1g
Rosin .8-1g
bubble hash 1g
kief 1.5-2g

this all comes from a mix harvest of darlins net, gg4, chaos, strawberries n cream, cheese, and a few other strains.

1 of my edibles if I eat it, and I don't want to get off the couch to smoke. I think about it, but really don't want too.
Lol k ocks my wife out. Which is great if I need some quiet time.

I make RSO that has similar effects to morphine as far as pain mangament. I've helped about a handful of people with cancer. Had some go into remission. And other success stories. I use the rick Simpson method. Except I use everclear as the solvent. It's really potent. I gave a grain of rice size to my mom and she thought she was on acid. She can handle smoking a bowl but the oil is too much. Most my patients had a hard time because of that. So if you want something for pain and sleep it works well.

yeah knock out wife gear is good cause that's only time she use it. and it has other benefits lol, I like sitting there contemplating existence. but I give to her will cause panic attack need other spectrum indica for her needs. but drifting that is not patient. I think for now I'm gonna stick to making the bho cause morale is up so at least I can keep spirits high while I familiarise myself with other methods. plus same reason he wanted me to do it don't wanna fuck things up that never done! I can make bho easy already have n butane and an extractor just need filters. but this is quick fix. will get lowdown after cause my information is limited on patient. gonna give me mate my pyrex dish with last bit of oil cause he getting new one for meds. last time I touched this it was hard to melt liked to shatter should I tell him to scrape it up and put in hot drink? never thought this side of things be this tricky.

I can tell you I love the oil. It helps with all kinds of stuff and it's all about strain selection. I eat a ton of it and feel fine. I have to operate with a fairly level head but I have a tolerance to it. I have given it to people who don't smoke or use and yes it's strong which is why people build a tolerance starting with a grain of rice size or use before bed. Then work your way up to more oil each day. I personally feel better in my over all health when I am taking it. And I smoke way less which is also better for me.
This is how I make the oil:
You will need a bowl to put about a 1/4 lb of material in plus a full big bottle of ever clear covering the material. A coffee warmer, stainless steel measuring cup, syringe(no needle) to get oil into pills.
This will make around 28 grams or so.
Next, take a non treated stick of wood and agitate the leaves in the bowl for about a minute or two. It doesn't take long to get the THC and other cannabinoids into the alchohol. Next, strain the bowl with a
makeshift filter/non bleach coffee filters into a rice cooker. Try to have it so there is no material in the rice cooker. Set the rice cooker for about 45 min but check periodically and MAKE OUTSIDE. There will be a lot of vapors I usually watch it from my back door. After it starts to make larger bubbles and it reduces it will get sticky. I pick up the cooker and swirl it into the corner and let it bubble for about a minute or two more. After that, I transfer the oil from the cooker into the coffee warmer, be extremely careful during this part! Next, I put it on a coffee warmer until there is no activity on top of the oil. Then, I take syringe and suck it up out of the stainless steel cup. And last, I put the oil from the syringe into capsules. You can weigh a capsule, subtract its weight, and weigh each capsule with the oil to any amount you'd like. You can make the oil with different strains for different kinds of relief. You can find a strain heavy in CBD if you didn't like the high or what I recommend is going with a 1:1 ratio half THC half CBD or if the THC is a little higher that's good also. For pain and cancer, the higher the THC the better. I hope this helps.
