Probably TMI, I have an older brother who thought it wise to not pay taxes for 7 years when he was a drunken druggie in his twenties. He ended up owing the IRS over $50k. He worked with a finance guy, probably similar to the one you are working with, and when he was done, that was it. He was able to secure financing after a period of making payments, and there were minor hiccups but nothing like the bullshit you seem to be going through. The checklist he went through was accurate and so was the timeline. If you encounter any bullshit with your loan I can find the name of that firm.
