One of my best friends is a flatworker,still going strong at 50 lol.personally i would rather trowel mud than i would to pull it around with a rake or comealong.but it all sucks lol

ok yeah you just named 2 more reasons i hate mud work lol.i think pulling the straight edge is by far the worst,and bull floating is prob my fav job if i have to pick one lol.but then my buddy likes to wait on the float and then load it up with steel pins,then ill just look at him and go,here ya go fucker you push this tank now :(

Ya I'm still in the trade with my tools on and pushing 60 myself. It is a bitch getting old in construction as they dont slow down cause were're getting wore out. And ego has me running tryin to keep up with the youngun's. I can still work circles round most but it comes with a price!!!!

Well FUCK life got real last saturday... checked into the hospital friday night for more tests. Oncologists comes in sat morning and tells me I have a mass on my left kidney (cancer) with a thrombus in the Vena Cava... Main vein from the kidneys to the heart.
Thursday morning 3/9 they are going to remove my left kidney do a heart bypass clean the cancer out of the vena cava try to take a nodule off of my right lung and remove some of my lymph nodes... Three surgeons and counting. I feel so special :).
Kinda a lot to take in all at once. I have no doubt that everything will go perfect and in two months I will be back to normal.
Not that I have EVER been normal. I'm positive that this will be a one and done operation that will get all the cancer.
The bride is pretty scared. But coming around to the positive side. We have all the support anyone could want. We will be just fine we have a good rainy day fund.
On a positive note the flower room is looking real good and my boy will cover for me while I'm in the no sleep hotel ha ha.

well that fuckin blows bro.not that its the same but one of my buds had a kidney taken out along with a few other parts about 10 years ago and is doing great minus the beers every night.you know my wife went through a bunch of health bs not long ago,ill keep ya in my prayers for a perfect operation bro.and if ya need me to come by and slap your son into shape hit me up haha.
