Our leech field is backing up tank fills if you take bath, eventually goes down system 47 years old.
Were planning on getting a man out to replace leech felid and use existing tank..
Way cheaper than a whole new system....
What do you all reckon?

On my tanks their is a cement baffle to keep the solids out of the drain field. They say it will deteriorate over time. Can be repaired, so just make sure the tank is fine or repairable and you should be good.
I've been told that if you can leave the old field it will clean it's self and start working again over years. Put a valve between the 2 field and switch back every 5-10 years.
