I say u do a moderate to heavy defol to one plant so u can answer yur question...because how will u kno the answer if u dont?idt theres a way to determine if defol wrks by removing 1 leaf....lmfao

Hey it was like a fist full on two different occasions. Lol. As much as I'd like to try that, I'm waiting to know the sex of the plants. I need to know which ones I'm going to need to toss basically. Not much clear sign from pre-flower.

@fatawa I respect you so I will explain. Mr organics should know this. The organic matter is reduced to pure humus. Say you throw a head of lettuce in a worm bin. They reduce that head of lettuce into a carbon dust pile the size of a marble.

It is the protein and fiber decomposing. So this has to be replaced. A nice healthy humus layer makes growing a drive down a country road.

Once the carbon is oxidized it turns into co2

appreciate that.you guys n soil r over my head i gotta say.lol.im not able to grow freely outside(illegal state) so my skillz def lack n soil.especialy organics.i do hav a couple outside but i get organic potting soil(lowest npk i can find)perlite,and i use my clay pellets from dro.n i cheat n feed them same nutes i use n dwc.ha.but what u just explaind does make sense to me on my limited knowledge of decomposing.and i hav seen yur pics so i do kno u hav skillz brother.no doubt n my mind on that

Thank you sir. I just follow the farm boys gone scientist. They tell me how to make dirt happy and it grows me plants. I cant take any credit. My biggest reason for doing.all the research is to dumb it down for me. Sounds bizarre i know lol. I just want a set it and forget it. It takes work to get there though.

That does mean a lot coming from a skilled and knowledgable gentleman such as yourself if I could take credit. Maybe my girlfriends snoring helps...shhh don't tell her. You have great info. I am all ears when I see you giving advice.

Im already seeing quite a stretch for just these 3 days. About 20 in. of vertical growth space. I'll take a more up to date pic when I water them today but I did some more securing, defol, and even some bending. These are from 3 days ago.

Great looking plants btw - impressive for Cfl - good job
In flower keep the bulbs nice and close youll get good flowers!

Thx. But they're just not up to par. They need more space. The two smaller plants will definitely have to go and it would work out perfectly if one of the bigger plants turn out to be male. Lol. IDK what I was thinking trying to put so many in at once.

Yes my friend, space is a priceless value to us.
Yes if male, sometimes you get lucky and it just works.

*BUT (perfect timing) a Heavy defol would give you more space and air flow for now, And a better idea of how much space they will need

Well my 385 watts of cfls have tripped a few different breakers over the course of this grow. Using LEDs for less heat, less power consumption and TWICE the yield makes a boat-load of sense to me.

Youll get a mix of different lighting methods from growers here, take all the info and find what works for your space. Some people use the heat from their lights to keep the Vpd in check - theres lots to consider here.

lol.i will clarify a bit.if heat or electric is issue then they r the way to go.if u can control heat(more importanly hav a big op)then led's wont b what yur buying..i hav 8×1000hps n flower shop.cud u imagine the price of leds to compare on lumens??

Yur still doing great with cfl's tho brother.id like to c a grow of yurs wen u get adequate lighting.no matter wat u choose as far as lighting u shud b doing better after.of course like blakey said any big light produces heat so make sure to take that into account b4 just looking at sticker price of light
