So the harvest has hung & dried, went to mason jars to cure roughly 48 hours ago. Currently burping twice Daily but curious as to when should I add a boost pack to the jars? I got the small 62% packs.

Thanks & smoke a bowl for me lol

I actually love the Boost packs. I got em in small size all the way up to gallon jars and kill it. From talking with a lot of knowledgeable folks, the bovedas Osborn terps and stuff like that. That’s just my 1 cent of advice lol

Never ever ever. These humipacks have no place in Cannabis storage.

When I was in the south we stored buds in Turkey bags after hanging. You know how we cured them? By leaving them in Turkey bags.

When I moved to the desert, I dry weed in Turkey bags, no hanging. And cured them in triple vaccum. Considering my success in shifting environments, I would NEVER consider using those packs. What's the point? What are you looking for? Why do you think these will help? What evidence or science is there that adding a moisture buffer sponge to the equation will help anything? Joint rollers hate dry weed.. I know that. But make it dank and sticky, not soggy and stagnant. Dont act like it's the same. That word dank probably needs to go. People buying wet weed n shit.. Good if you are a conman who never smokes with anyone. I cant smoke spongy weed and get high.

The last time I even tasted some smokable bud from a dispensary, I went back for more. Guess what? The idiots stuck a humi pack in. I bought some anyway just to add data to my knowledge base. The taste had been ruined by overnight exposure to a broveda pack.

Im really beginning to believe most people don't know what Cannabis flavor is. They are talking about smoke/burnt leaves flavor and thinking that's what organic growers are talking about with 'flavor'.

If you dont smoke traditional hash, don't vape organic buds, or don't know why' the green hit' ia truly an honor, you have completely missed the goal of growing and harvesting plants for quality. Broveda will make your weed taste like a pack of baking soda that's been in the fridge for 6 years.

Humipacks arent a curing tool, or even a bandaid. They have no purpose to anyone who understands that wet weed is only easier to roll, there is no other reason on earth you would want wet weed. These are not tires or plastic parts. Adding moisture does not improve shelf life.. I'm really certain Americans are under some spell, to buy more detrimental shit out of catalogues.

My nuggets are in the jar with the bovida packs rh is approximately 61%. Do I still need to burp these? I am a newbie so I’m not sure if I should continue to burp or just leave the buds in the sealed jars. I just trimmed and jarred on Saturday and its not smelling good at this point. I know around 62% is the optimal range but I’m not sure if I need to continue burping once I’m at that point or do I just leave the jars sealed.

How long did you dry it & in what conditions?

The plans were drying in a closet around 50% humidity and 70° or so. They dried for about nine days and then I just put them into the jars one week ago from today. They do not have that dank smell yet. Ugh.

If they dont smell like anything yet they prob aren't going to get much better. They should have a lil smell when they are done drying & it gets stronger as they cure up. I've had killer looking buds that just had no smell, could just be a case of that particular pheno.

were the plants hung whole? if so 9 days aint that long, do the buds still feel wet? if so take them out of jar overnight and either let them sit in a bowl or a paper bag. you dont want them crispy but you dont want to be jarring up wet buds either. its an art form which takes time to learn and everybodies advice will be diffeent on this topic because the environment plays such a big roll in drying and curing unless you have a 100% controlled drying environment

Obviously you want to dry and cure as correctly as possible but Boveda packs add and remove moisture.

Supposedly the way they work is by keeping your stuff at the stated humidity level. It not only does this by adding moisture to an environment but by removing it as well. Incase you under dry your buds the Boveda packs should be able to get your green to the right humidity.

I use a CV vault and am very happy with the results. There was no effect on flavor of smell eith either strain mu first go. Ofcourse I vape in a volcano so I only smoke green;)

I couldn't ever imagine smoking buds again and everytime my neighbor rolls a joint I can't stand the taste. #NoCumbustion!

You should really educate yourself before wasting so much time typing such nonsense. I see this is from a few years ago, but couldn’t help but reply to such an ignorant comment. First of all let’s just get one thing straight, you CAN do a lot of things with your cannabis, and it will likely give the same if not close to the same effect. That being said, you are preserving many volatile cannbinoids and terpenes by keeping a constant humidity of 58-62%.
And do everyone a favor and stop spreading such lazy, false information - there’s lots of new growers out there that come to these forums to learn and your just teaching bad practice. If you like dry, hay-tasting buds with no profile, then sure keep on with your ways, but don’t go on the internet and tell others not to do what’s best for their cannabis just because you choose not to do so yourself.
